Walking around our peaceful Moncton and going behind buildings and underneath bridges, you can find lost of graffiti. Some are work of art, some full of racial and ethnic hate. In fact we have graffiti on our very own mail box. This is vandalism.
But the government seems to be in a total stalemate concerning graffiti issue. Some, like in Vancouver, propose graffiti police and prosecuting people that do it. Others call for legalizing graffiti (de jure it is vandalism), but allowing it in certain designated areas.
We think graffiti should be legal, but the government should create areas where artists can showcase their work. And these areas should be publicly accessible and visible. Whats the point of you creating your drawing on a wall of a remote abandoned warehouse?
I see if I can come up with something to send to city hall..
Just don't ask me to paint..
