Local Artist seeks freelance

verniesuede wrote on 11/30/2005 10:38:07 AM :

Hello Everyone!

My name is Vern and I am a local Graphic Artist/Cartoonist specializing in LOGOS, Ads, and CARICATURES.  I am trying to find some freelance work here in Moncton, and I thought I would drop a post on this board!
I have spent the last 5 years working as an artist for Spielo in Moncton. Freelnacing is very rewarding work, although it doesn't always guarantee a stable income Smile
My art stretches from traditional cartooning and drawing to photoshop based logos and ads. If you would like to take a peek at my wares, click on this link!

My rates are very affordable and my turn-around is super fast with 100% guarentee satisfaction!
Thanks for looking and taking the time to read!
Cheers!
Vern Stewart

p.s. I will be starting "Introduction to Cartooning" and "Fun with Sculpting" at Michaels Craft Store on Mountain Rd. in the near future. Contact me for more details if you or someone you know is interested!

Your work looks pretty good. The Cherry Rain piece is very popular locally. I've seen it in lots of bars, oops, I mean thinking man's galleries around town. Keep up the good work and lots of luck.

I checked out your site and you appear to have an intuitive talent. It also seems to me that you have a great admiration for your craft which is evident in your logos and are full of life with the joy of picture making. While I understand harmonic color exercises are clearly fundamental in any artist oeuvre, I believe black and white images also have a curious strength of simplicity; visual sort of poetry that will delight the eyes and energize the senses and I don't see that in your works.

My question to you is do you feel your suite of paintings/drawings, is full of your life's experiences and are you, or have you, celebrated your maturity as an artist? Do you do black and whites and if not why?

However, it is clear you have taken a right turn on the high road of a successful journey into private creative investigation that displays a strong affection for expressing one's inner self.

Thank you!
