Will we see NHL again?

Cancelled season was a real kick in the head for the fans. Do you miss the NHL? Was hockey a passion or just a habit?

The five-monthlong labor dispute wiped out a season, something no other professional league has done in North America, the Stanley Cup not awarded for the first time since World War I (even non-hockey fans know it to be hockey's crowning jewel, and understand that it is unique!). Now, What then?

It is disappointing that they aren???t playing this year. I used to be a huge fan, obviously I wasn't attending many games, but I used to enjoy watching them on TV. Beer

I always thought that the players were accessible and media-friendly, and they were the game's best ambassadors. Their athleticism, fearlessness, grace, and strength are unmatched in sports, but I still just can`t find the energy to actually really miss the NHL...Broken Heart

It just gave me the chance to follow university hockey more closely and I honeslty found that the level of hockey is pretty close.

Pro sports can get too political. They need to come to an agreement and just play the game because that is all it is - a game! In my opinion, they are all making enough money, they are all millionaires...and it`s kinda sad how NHL players have found work elsewhere by taking jobs from players in other North American and European leagues. (but I guess it`s like any other jobs - a competition!)

It's long been a given that hockey fans are the most passionate, hardcore group in sports, but a lockout which loses a season is sure to shake the foundations of that truth. Now that the season is officially done, two questions remain: When will the league return? Will the fans be back as well?

It seems that a replacement league is on its way. It will cost a nhl player who crosses the line $10,000 to be paid back to the union to do so. Not alot of cash but a bad re***tion. Would you cross the line? P.s. they should award the Stanley Cup to the Womens team from Toronto who beat montreal in overtime. Might be the only chance Toronto has of winning it.

The hockey strike didn't effect me in the least. My Montreal Canadiens were still the first team out playing golf. They can even brag that they didn't lose a game of hockey all year.
