Man sentenced in sexual assault on child, Caraquet, N.B.

"On September 27, 2006 at the Caraquet Provincial Court, 51-year old Yvon Legere of Notre-Dame des Erables, was sentenced to 20 months in prison, for sexual interference on a person under 14 years of age. Legere also received a probation order including several conditions."

 

 

WHY DO PEOPLE THINK ITS RIGHT TO DO THIS TO KIDS

My question is more like "why did they only give him 20 months in prison, when teh kid has to live the rest of his/her life with this ontop of their little head?" and we all know get 20 months serve only 10. WRONG just WRONG. Should have one of his balls cut off (without drugs) then if he does it again chop the rest of it all off. Damn a*sholes in this world!!!!!!!!

I agree more time is needed in jail for this type  of crime

Actually, my ex was sentenced to 3 years, and was eligible for parole after only 1 year. So no, he won't serve 10 months .. more like 6 or 7. One third of the sentence with good behavior and you are eligible for parole.

My prayers go out to this child and family. Justice has NOT been done, and I've been there. The only solace you get from putting your child through the court process is that this guy MIGHT be prevented from doing it again.

i think it should be life in prison
