probably a bunch of f-in idiots, there  is no need of stuff like this being done
oldman wrote on 10/18/2006 11:58:20 AM :
i believe that kids should have respect for their elders but nowadays most of them don't
fireman wrote on 10/18/2006 11:59:40 AM :

very true oldman

thats the trouble with the kids today no respect and nothing to do but wonder the streets

oldman wrote on 10/18/2006 12:02:11 PM :
yes they wander the street in this city there is a curfew law but like other laws it's not enforced
Cautiouslizard wrote on 10/18/2006 11:59:56 AM :
Mine does but only cause I'm strick with him and he has no choice. He knows who teh boss is and will not cross me as he has alot of things he loves and that I'm the owner
willie c wuddle wrote on 10/18/2006 12:06:54 PM :

A parent can't hit or yell at his kids without breaking some law. What can they do? I know a surefire way to keep kids in line. Have a chat with the school bully and pay him to pick on  your kid or even just scare your kid a bit. Your kid is probably more scared of the bully than he is of you. It might be money well invested.

oldman wrote on 10/18/2006 12:07:53 PM :
good idea willie i'll keep that in mind
Cautiouslizard wrote on 10/18/2006 12:11:23 PM :
Well as long as you have your foot down since they are small they never know anything different even if the teachers tells them whatever they will still listen. The parents need to not spoil their kids so much at a young age and show they who is boss!!!! lol
oldman wrote on 10/18/2006 12:12:03 PM :
i agree
willie c wuddle wrote on 10/18/2006 12:21:32 PM :
I'm pretty mellow but I think if I came across people damaging graves I'd probably end up leaving in either an ambulance or a police car pending on the outcome. I can't even imagine why anybody would want to do that crap to somebody's final resting spot. By the thundering I'm getting fired up today.ranting [ranting]
Cautiouslizard wrote on 10/18/2006 12:23:46 PM :
Willie you'll have to come by the bar to have a beer tonight cause you just need to get out and away (but wait till I'm there haha)
BlinkeredKitten wrote on 10/18/2006 12:37:52 PM :

This is a crime that's been happening everywhere for years now. It seems a sin that cemeteries should have to be locked up behind fences and bars and have visiting hours. I remember wanting to visit my grandfather's grave at all hours of the night - and one should be allowed to! It's one thing to disrespect a person while they're living, but when they're dead is another story. And to do this to the graves of people you don't even know??? Unthinkable!

Willie is right, though. At the age of the kids responsible for this one, parents aren't allowed to do anything to them.

I, along with a few of you, remember the feeling of my father's belt on my bare bottom. Not anything I'd do with my kids, but I think I turned out OK. I know one thing for sure: I knew what respect meant at a very early age, and I've never forgotten! Wink [;)]

oldman wrote on 10/18/2006 12:41:15 PM :
now adays one of the main things lacking in a lot of kids is a little thing called respect
Cautiouslizard wrote on 10/18/2006 12:44:36 PM :

But I don't think it's the kids fault. I see parents give their kids everything since the age of 1 and and on and on.... it's wrong they learn how to twist their parents around their little fingers. That's where I didn't agree with my son and never let him get his way while he was a brat. I would not always buy him treats when he was good, i would only if I felt like it and he's been good all week. I never reward him after a fit other than him losing his fav toy (x box) for a week. And if he dares to whine about it it's a month. He pouts liek everyother kid that don't get his way but he will walk up to his room to do it as I don't want to see it. I tell "Ah don't be bad and you won't lose"

I'm a mean Mommy I know btu all his friends come over and you don't hear them argue, curse, swear, fight or even talk back. They don't even scream and run in my house (but they go to their own house and they act like wild animals)

willie c wuddle wrote on 10/18/2006 12:55:56 PM :
It might not have been kids who damaged the cemmetary at all. There are some real jackasses out there.
Cautiouslizard wrote on 10/18/2006 1:01:32 PM :
I would be able to accept that kids did it more than knowing a adult did it that's just wacked and needs the same beating as the kids
BlinkeredKitten wrote on 10/18/2006 1:09:07 PM :

You'd be surprised what a grown adult would do to a cemetery. I shouldn't even write this, because it will stir the pot ... but my ex-mother-in-law urinated on her dead husband's grave as a way of "letting go of all her anger."

The broken headstones are just a visible display of far more ignorant happenings that we'd otherwise never know about.

willie c wuddle wrote on 10/18/2006 1:12:12 PM :
I believe a person show respect for the dead. After all, you just might meet up with them someday.
mike6x5 wrote on 10/18/2006 2:06:31 PM :

Depends if you're headed north or south!

Whoever did this ought to have to work to pay for the repairs of the headstones plus maintain them for the rest of their lives.  Clean them with toothbrushes every month and so forth.

Might not sound to harsh, but twenty years down the road and these punks are still tootbrushing the headstones, they're gonna be pretty sorry at some point.

well i remember that it had happen at the Beaumont cemetery and it was ADULTS  with a 4 wheel drive pushing them 0ver
fireman wrote on 10/18/2006 6:17:23 PM :

yes true notme,

we cannot blame all of it on the kids, grown ups too do things like that. I cant believe that adults have that little respect for the dead. and what would they do or say if it happend to one of thier dearly departed

oldman wrote on 10/18/2006 6:18:47 PM :

If they keep it up they may not have a future.

Starry wrote on 10/19/2006 9:46:48 PM :
well I think anyone that can destroy tombstones have to be people that have not suffered yet the loss of a loved one as anyone that has been sorrowed with grief would never ever do such a thing.

Kids that has no consideration for anything. If or when they get caught the cops should make the parents scare them by making them get a branch in the woods, pull their pants down and lay on their laps. Then of course you know the sound (if your old enough to have lived in those years) Bet you they won't go do sh*t like that again.
sass wrote on 10/18/2006 11:17:02 AM :

I say put them in a closed wondowless room with a bunch of the remaing living family members!  Fu*****!!!

fireman wrote on 10/18/2006 11:21:53 AM :
well sass  they SHOULD be made held responceible for thier actions. If and when they catch them ,they should make them fix all the stones and make a public apoligy to the family members. It really burns my @$$ when stuff like that happens and wel you all know what will happen, They will if caught will only get a perverbial "SLAP ON THE WRIST" whats wrong with the criminal system???
oldman wrote on 10/18/2006 11:23:22 AM :
