If you don't like what it says then just delete it. It's not that hard and noone likes being publically trashed for doing something they think is right.

 

I didn't think I trashed him other than showing my discontent with his PM. The debate with Matt was all resolved as he appoligized so there was no need for Dan to put his nose into what was done and gone. He just watned to stir the pot as usual. And it's another way for him to push his case of saving our souls.

He never has offended me with his posts.  Actually today I referred to him as intelligent and articulate...I just do not feel the text that was pm'd was appropriate...If he had sent me a personal message stating his concerms for my eternal well being then I would have welcomed it....might not have agreed , but would have welcomed it none the less.....

I have thousands of messages in my mailbox. It didn't phase me one little bit to get that message. I wish it was a bit shorter as I usuall do two or more things at once on the puter and find long posts hard to read so I skim over them as best as I can.

I thought the guy was a grown man. Guess I was wrong cause Dan wouldn't have to defend him teh way he did if he was. Or maybe Dan is the one that thinks he can't defend himself. I know we made a agreement to not debate me and you but I did start that post cause I was offended by the way he decided to save me. I see no reason for me to be saved as I think I'm doing just fine now. So why should I welcome with open arms someone that says I need to be saved?? I thought it was uncalled for and he could have just made a simple post. Our PMs are for personnal usage and not to have someone preach to us. You don't see anyoen PM everyone in the forum telling them that they shouldn't think, act or do what they do and need some advice to change. IF I WANT TO BE SAVED, I WILL TAKE UPON MYSELF TO MAKE THAT DECISION BUT NEED NO ONE TO SEND ME A PERSONNAL MESSAGE TO TELL ME. I thought you had more respect for the people on the forum Dan. CL, you're missing the point of the whole thing.

The way Matt sent the Romans Road may have been served on a plater which you didn;t like, and I can certainly understand that... but can you not see his concern for all of you guys?

I'm not at all debating whether his method was correct or incorrect; I'm simply saying that trashing the guy because of this is not right; it's just as bad as what you guys say he's done, and for real, do you think he was laughing in mockery when he sent that message to you guys?

It's not unfortunate, he has been on here long enough and has seen the debates. It's not like he hasn't seen how strongly some views are. The guy (matt) probably shouldn't have mass emailed everyone but noone had to read it. Simple as that. I chose to read it, and respond to it. I still think it was a bit much but you have to give the guy credit. He actually beleives alot of us are going to hell and tried to save us. Even though we don't want to be saved or don't beleive in hell doesn't make it any less real for him. It could've been done in a different manor but live and learn.

You nailed it, spyn!  I agree with everything you said.

I think things have been blown way out of proportion here.  Chances are pretty damn good Matt learned that this was a mistake.  It's not like he made this mistake over and over and over. 

And some of the language might have been strong and indicting...but I also have to commend WWJD for standing by his buddy in thick and thin.  Wouldn't you guys like to have a friend like that?  To have someone stand beside you whether you were right or wrong?

Anyway...it's over and one with.  Let's all take a deep breath and wait for the next big kerfuffle.

Well here is my two cents worth on this thread. Everyone IS entitled to thier own beliefs. and there is no problem with that. I am a BAPTIST. And yes i have went to church and yes i believe that there is something greater than us, But I DO NOT  like religon being pushed on me. I dont think I trashed him either and if I did I apoligize. And i agree with bulert, I deleted the pm and i got over it. All i ask is please do not send me pm's like that. Its starting to be like the johovas comming to your door, You ask politley to leave and say no thank you and they still insist on pushing it. This is our forum and everyone has the right to thier thoughts, So if we see something that we dont want to read then dont. I am speaking about myself to. I do consider everyone in here, as good people. Everyone has their flaws. WE are not perfect. cant we just try to get along and if there is a debate, speak our minds but dont blame anyone for what they post. Well i dont know if this made any sense, But I am not a writer either lol. I will be still looking forward to reading everyones posts, wether i like them or not. some i reply to and some i dont. i replied to matt also and i don't feel that i was offending towards him or his beliefs but if he feels that i was just send me a brief email and i wioll clear up any misunderstandings.we will always find different points of view on any subject but i feel there is no need for name calling on this forum or for downright personal attacks. well for not this is purely my own personal opinion
