Re: C103 fires Lisa Marshall

What a bunch of losers at C103. Not smart at all, probably have no idea of the damage they've done themselves. Lisa's departure could have been handled SOOO much more intelligently. They'll realize their error next time we send in our ratings questionnaires.

par for the course!

What a complete lack of loyality on the part of C103. Shame on C103.

c103 has removed all mention of lisa from their website and listeners forum.  what are they trying to hide?

Actually, no they are not.
C103 and XL96 are the same company while Magic and K94 are owned by their direct competitor.

If you want to hurt C103, listen to K94.5, want to screw XL96, then listen to Magic. Those are the pairings that battle it out for ratings.

ah man, new rogers Radio, I love Tom Young and Andrew Crystal. Love the talk radio...however, I work for Aliant so I listen to it with Mixed emotions. lol Granted aliant doesn't have a radio station (except for the online radio stations on aliant.net with such categories as Oldies, country and rock) but Rogers is still our competitor.

c103 is totally biased against women.they forced lisa to quit along with maria powell and took advantage of 2 of their djs misfortunes after treating one of them in particular rather badly .how many others fell to their idiotic witch hunts? why does hillary and his henchmen fear women who have strengthof character?
Maria K wrote on 6/9/2006 8:07:22 AM :
I don't believe in ranting about my former employer on the internet. It would only make me look bad but I will say that I was not in any way forced to quit. I made the decision to return to university and finish my degree. I needed a new challenge, simple as that. There was no misfortune, no witch hunt, no bias against any woman in that building. Assuming can be a very dangerous thing.

WELCOME TO OUR FORUM!!!!!!!! WE ARE GLAD YOU ARE HERE! While I respect your position, i have my own, which is different.

If nobody rants about their employers, isn't that a licence for them to abuse their employees?

Maria K wrote on 6/9/2006 8:51:02 AM :
You are more than entitled to your opinion, just be careful what information you are basing it on. I really don't care to debate, I just don't want to be lumped into some theory that C103 is on a witch hunt because Lisa and I happened to quit at the same time. I gave my notice and she gave hers - both for different reasons. End of story. I am really happy with my new direction and I hope that Lisa finds what is best for her. Best wishes to you.

Thank you so very much for setting things straight. I'm so tired of hearing everybody's speculation theories as to what went on. Fact is, no one knows what went on except Lisa, Hillary and whoever else was directly involved. Does it suck that Lisa didn't get to make her fairwell show the way she wanted...Yup. Did she plan on leaving? According to what she said yes, she put in her notice. Other then that all we know is that Lisa and the powers above her didn't always agree, but even that is speculation from our part. Alot of your opinions are all biased.

just out of curiosity, did your "former employer" ask you to make this post?

something doesn't match. A person that is so well liked by her community, leaves without saying good bye? Would you say its odd??

Last week anchor woman Katie Couric was given one of the largest sand off when she announced she was leaving from CBS.

PS. Welcome to our little online swaree : )

Again with the speculation. Did her former boss ask her to write this post. lol....As if everyone who disagreas with the Lisa Marshall bandwagon can't have there own opinion and must be under hypnotic powers from C103 and not cable of forming there own opinions.

i didn't say that's what happened. I was just curious. You are right, one can not assume that beyond reasonable doubt, but be curious, - why not!

so...would you say you loved it there then? and when you left..was it a hard decision to make? or are you just saying "I can't say anything on the internet for fear it would make me look bad."?????

it all depends on how you read this answer...

AND if you've listened as long and as loyally as I did...you would know that Maria's boyfriend still works there....I think...I haven't listened in two weeks...except for (I must admit) Thursday and Friday to see who the replacement was....snooze...THE ALL NEW SENIORS CLUB...I mean breakfast club...fortified with testosterone and absolutely nothing for women under 60!

p.s. Maria, were you a friend of lisa's? or just a co-worker?
Maria K wrote on 6/10/2006 7:48:29 AM :
I've been clear about the reason I left. As for who I am dating, my relationship with Lisa and how I feel about my former employer are completely irrelavent. I don't believe in ranting about anyone on the internet - former employers included, especially to complete strangers. I'm not going to let my life become someone else's gossip. I left C103 to return to university - plain and simple.

The only reason I posted in the first place was because some how my name got brought up in someone's conspiracy theory and if you're going to talk about me  - at least get your facts straight. I quit, my decision and that's the end of my story. I've said all I wanted to say.

Well said Maria. Thank you for clarifying it... although you didn't need to. Everyone is just very curious about the situation and since Lisa has not really spoken about it... it just leaves people to speculate.
