Morse Code Alphabet
Instrumental rock, influenced by bands like moneen, Q and not U, Mock Orange, Faraquet, Weights & Measures, and lots more..... The idea is to show that we dont need words to make good music. At the same time, it forces us to be more creative musically rather than just strumming the same 4 chords over and over. Only one song online at the moment but there is more to come.

The Umph
Formerlly known as Jonahh, the songs you'll find on this link were recorded before the line-up change that occured in Jan/Feb of this year. Jonah, now backed up by 2 new members definitely offers more Umph (or pizzazz, bite, crunch....whatever you want to call it) to its listeners than before. Check them out at the Paramount Lounge on April 13 w/ Shortsleve and Secret Agent

Awesome, I didn't even know Jonah posted on here.
I'm doing alright, I thought I'd come check out the scene here. I kinda needed a change of scenery from the other site.
What can I say, people can't help but check me out.
I don't blame them.
We got talent here:
Morse Code Alphabet:Today is a good day:Today is a good day to crank that tune up. It to me sounds like a cross between surfboarding music and some good old Deep Purple.
The Umph:Justify Me:It starts off with a neat Simon And Garfunkle type sound then evolves into kind of a Stone Temple Pilots type sound. I like it.Holding Out:Kind of makes me want to buy a car with a two or three thousand watt stereo and let it blast. You Blew It:That one sounds familiar. Catchy tune. I think it has a lot of potential. Too bad I can't download it to my hard drive.Cut:Nice sound. Sounds a bit like Black Hole Sun.
Thanks for the little description/review. I probably couldn't really describe music myself....

MCA is planning on having an EP available by the end of summer or so. You can probably get The Umph EPs at the shows (next one is April 13 @ the Paramount) if Jonah remembers to bring them. If you're interested, let me know. I could hook you up.

I don't know if there is a specific hang out for bands but I see a lot of guys from local bands at the Paramount/Manhattan on a regular basis. I'm sure you could find a lot of them hanging out at Doc's or Nav's, or any other watering hole.
MCA played at a party last night and I got pics from it. I uploaded them today, check them out if you like.
