EMENEM

I happen to think Marshal Mathers, aka Emenem, has a lot talent. I like his music. I groove to it and can relate to a lot of it. What I don't like nor understand is his hatred towards his mother. Maybe my mom's a saint and his ain't but why does he hate her? When I was a teenager I rebelled against my parents but I never hated them. He is a very influential person and I hope he doesn't influence kids who are having some trouble, and maybe on chemicals, to go overboard and do something stupid against thier moms.

Maybe she took a paddle to his hiney and he just can't seem to get over it. Do I think that kids are listening to his music? No! I think anyone who is listening has the sense to know that it's music and will keep it in that context.
We all get angry at our parents from time to time he just has more anger than others and uses music to expel some of that anger. I suppose it's better than Columbine. Besides he'll soon be a has-been (sooner than later I hope) and we will all be able to sleep better at night.

I think like many other rappers, Eminem's rise to stardom was far from easy. After traveling and moving around like he did in his young life. I saw an interview where he talked about switching schools every two to three months and how difficult it was to make friends, graduate and to stay out of trouble.

Frankly I am glad rap, became his solace. I think his music brought joy to what was and could  otherwise have been a painful existence.

He admitted that, "I do say things that I think will shock people, but I don't do things to shock people.  So while I'm here, I might as well make the most of it."

Otherwise, he might have been out killing and raping women so, I think he is here to stay and hats off to him.
