when does life begin?

oneandonly wrote on 3/15/2006 1:20:40 PM :
When does life begin? Is every sperm/ovum potential life? Or does life officially begin at conception or even at implantation?

Or... since an embryo can split forming identical twins up to day 12, perhaps life begins then. Then again, maybe after the 1st trimester, or once the fetus is viable (around 25 weeks or so) or actually born.

Or maybe it's true what they say, and life begins at 40. silly [silly]

What are your thoughts?

Hard to say. This is a highly debated topic and it really depends on which side you are on.

I think life does not begin at birth nor end at death. Life does start to get fun at 40 (that magic time between adolescence and senility).

???? hard to say however, this is scientifically interesting. I think science and only science will give you as close to a difinitive answer as to when. However, when you are speaking from a moral, ethical stance that can be argued for many days.
