News From Israel - July 21st

Dear Friends,

All of you precious friends who have written, or phoned from all over the world, America, England, Norway, Ireland, Italy, Holland, Switzerland, Germany, New Zealand and Australia, and even Ethiopia,Jewish friends and Christians, believers and non-believers, to all of you a big thanks and a big shalom from the land of no-shalom

As I start this letter, it is to the familiar sound of rockets falling around us, and /or artillery fire.

We have spent days cooped up in a down stairs room, not too safe, but safer than where I am sitting now at my computer in an upstairs room directly facing incoming Katyusha rockets, At least six have fallen in the last few moments.

Several people in the town have been killed and many houses damaged. This situation is the same in every town and village from the border to Haifa, and Haifa has again been hit by several barrages this morning, Nearly all the settlements and towns in the north are like ghost towns, with most of their inhabitants having fled south to safer, (till now) places. There are no banks, post offices and clinics are shut, the trains do not run, and we haven't seen a bus. Most shops are shut, though some supermarkets remain open for those who have stayed, many of whom are sleeping in underground, airless shelters, with little or nothing to do. Between the rocket attacks, and sometimes during, we watch the news on TV, and our hearts also go out to the folks in Lebanon, who are also basically suffering because of the Hezbollah, whose aim is to set up an Islamic State from shore to shore, so pray also for the Christian population of Lebanon, as wall as the Druze, and even the Moslems, who are so blinded with hate and desire to set up their Islamic Kingdom.

It is 11.27 am, and I must run as the police are advising every one to take shelter, I'll be back!

Well now, I am back and it is 12.45, and there is now fear that another soldier has been abducted from the centre of the country, and that there is at least one terrorist at loose in the centre, looking for a suitable target!

When we think it is quiet, we go to look for a supermarket, or visit friends who are also stuck in their homes for days without seeing anybody. Today we hope that two Moslem friends are coming, one a believer, and one (his cousin) on the way. They live not to far from us and ring daily to find out how we are doing! Also, many of our messianic believers and Jewish friends, as well as all our family are in touch with us everyday, sometimes several times a day, to make sure we are all right. It is like one big family caring for one another.

Forgive us if we do not write to you personally, I have maybe 150 letters on my screen, but this is just to inform you that we are grateful, that we are alive, and the Lord has called us here, and told us to be strong and work, for He is with us.And now the police are coming again, and the rockets are falling. Bye for now

God bless you all,

Albert and Ruth Nessim

Personal Reflections Of A Mother In Israel

Shalom from Tel Aviv!

As a mother here in Israel I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers.  As I sat before the Lord I prayed by name for young men and women fighting for our nation and our people against an enemy who wants to destroy us.  These young men and women have faces and names to us.

These at the names of our soldiers in our congregation:
Alon
Ariel
Luke
Haim
Moshe
Michael
Maggie
Anina
Shulamite
Natalie
Jonathan (who visits our congregation often)
D'vorah ??? joins army July 17th
Veronique ??? joins army in a couple of weeks
There are many others in our congregations in Israel who we also need to pray for.

Location of missiles that have struck Israel

Grandparents, parents, and children in the north of our country are in bomb shelters day and night.  May they, and all of us, make Yeshua???s name our strong tower and take cover under his wings.

We want to remember the three soldiers kidnapped Gilad Shalit 19, Eldad Rigev 26, and Ehud Goldwasser 31. Eldad???s family is putting their trust in God. The IDF believe they are alive but their condition is unknown.

Israel needs your prayers.

My heart goes out to all who are involved in the conflict. The peaceful muslims and the israeli's. Hezbolla clearly needs to be brought down.
notme wrote on 7/26/2006 8:51:25 PM :
maybe if the US would stop supplying everyone with weapons the figthing would stop lack of tools
Faulty wrote on 7/26/2006 8:52:36 PM :
I agree that the US really isn't helping. However is Israel wasn't armed, they'd be wiped off the map. Or they'd find arms elsewhere.
notme wrote on 7/26/2006 9:02:45 PM :

like i said before if Israel was not reinvented by the US this war would not be here ...

i also agree that the real Israel and the few real jews are god people   but most jews go's by the old testament and are still waiting for jesus  who already came thse ones are the fakes and the ones governing Israel

they are only ther for the money

btw did you know that Israel does not even have a constitution of any kind weird ?

Appolonia wrote on 7/26/2006 9:09:05 PM :
do you like anyone notme?
notme wrote on 7/26/2006 9:16:25 PM :

yes i do   but i see what this world is coming to  and it not my fault if the majority of people are blinded by the false truth spread by the ssocall supreme powers of the mortal world

you see i like people that are honest ,straigthforward and  follow most of God's laws

like mariage between man and woman , no divorce , not homo's

i have nothing really against the jews small people it their leaders  and if you read the real history of jews there 3 kinds of them

Appolonia wrote on 7/26/2006 9:24:41 PM :
you talk about god alot, but if you beleive what you say, it is not your place to judge these people. for intance, divorcees, I beleive in marrige being a sacred thing, but I don't beleive people should remain in abusive relationships in fear of going to hell. I don't think god would want that either
notme wrote on 7/26/2006 9:35:09 PM :

there is exception to the divoces cases  i do agree that if one or the other spouse is abusive something should be done

but if it for just the act of changing partners well

Appolonia wrote on 7/26/2006 9:36:15 PM :
i agree with that
notme wrote on 7/26/2006 9:47:37 PM :
well at least we agree on one thing
