The power of persuasion is a powerful tool. For example, I can make some of you yawn right now. Yawn!               yawn again                                                                                                                                                      Yawning is also very contagious and when one person sees another person yawn they usually yawn too. Anyone who sees you yawn will yawn as well, or at least most people yawn. Therefore, I???ll have made more than just you yawn if someone sees you yawn.

   you???re going to yawn !      YAWN!                        They might even yawn if they only hear you yawn and not actually see you yawning. That???s how powerful yawning is. I do not know why we yawn but we just do.

I yawned twice since I started talking about yawning and I am about to yawn again.

There was actually a study done that said if you see or hear someone else yawn, you will yawn within 30 seconds. So not only are they contagious ... they spread pretty darned quickly, too!
