ARE YOU IN THE FALSE CHURCH?

D.Y.R#7XTRUST wrote on 10/19/2006 5:45:34 PM :

Let's have a look at what that old devil is up to in his false church(s).

The greatest crime of false christianity is that they are deceiving souls into hell by leading them to believe that they are Christians when they have never even obeyed Acts 2:38.

Acts 2:38

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

If you fall into the category of a false church and disagree, please tell us why?

Your response will be greatly appreciated.

I got a Jehovah thing in the mail today.  Is that one of the so-called 'false churches'?  They seem to think everyone else is in them.
D.Y.R#7XTRUST wrote on 10/19/2006 10:55:41 PM :

Yeah, the Jehovah Witnesses are without question one of the false churches. There are five important facts to remember about the Jehovah's Witnesses and the Watchtower Organization.

1. They have accepted the Organization as the Prophet of God.

2. They have accepted the Organization as God's sole channel for His truth.

3. They believe that to reject the Organization is to reject God.

4. They believe that only the Organization can interpret the Bible; as individuals they are unable to do so.

5. They believe the Watchtower Magazine contains God's truth, directed by Him, through the Organization

And fact number 3 confirms what you said, that the Jehovah Witnesses believe they are the only ones that hold the truth. BUT THIS IS WRONG AND I CAN GIVE PROOF TO WHOEVER WANTS IT!!

Thank you mike 6x5 for your question and statement.

Perhaps they're following the Scripture that tells us "In the mouth of two or three witnesses, let everything be established." Wink [;)]

Who is anyone to say someone is in a fasle church? Maybe yours is false but due to you being in it you wouldn't think so. What makes one church better than the other?

I think there is no such thing as a false church. A church is a man made place designed for a group of people to gather together to worship GOD. I can call my front porch or a park bench a church if that is my designated place to be with GOD. There may be false preachers and people blindly following them but their churches are very real. I can worship my GOD in a designated church, a kingdom hall,  a park bench, or an open air market. They can all be real churches depending on the people who go there's relationship with GOD.

once again willie is right
mike6x5 wrote on 10/20/2006 2:15:24 PM :

I don't necessarily agree with you on that, Willie.  Mostly though.

How I define 'church' isn't necessarily by a physical building.  For instance, the Catholic Church could mean the community of Catholics, the Baptist Church could be all Baptists, etc.  I don't necessarily think you have to actually go to a man-made church building to be a member of the Church, if you know what I mean.

Woludn't the group of people be called a congregation? I think I see what you're getting at, though.

So I guess #3 fits the bill best as to what I was meaning.  Maybe.  LOL

Like I said one other time, I ain't no wordsmith!  ;)

17 definitions for church. Somehow laying on the couch watching the football game on TV sounds a whole lot simpler.

D.Y.R#7XTRUST wrote on 10/20/2006 6:11:35 PM :

You are right Willie, the place of worship can be your front porch, park bench, designated church, kingdom hall or open market. But what I am simply stating is this, that a false church is one that does not preach on the foundation of Acts 2:38, which is (1.)repentance (2.)Salvation through Christ. Because the true CHURCH is the believer not the building. That being stated, a church is then false if they DO NOT believe in Salvation through Christ and repentance.

That may be the entire building or individual.

THANK YOU
