Do You Believe Jesus Is The Savior of The World?

D.Y.R#7XTRUST wrote on 10/13/2006 11:14:59 PM :

I would like for you to give your reasons as to why or why not you think Christ is Savior.

Thank you!!

Because Mel Gibson told me.

lol

No, really, it's something I feel more than anything else.  Your heart has to be open to Him and what he teaches us.  It's all about love and forgiveness.

Yes, Mindy; show us your witnesses.

You're very quick to accuse me of being intolerant and pushy and you jump on the chance to say "There is no God" etc etc..THEN you go right ahead and say you believe in spirit guides, blah blah blah.

Those are demons, Mindy, and they're absolutely controlling you.

You cannot even hold to the same standard of proof towards YOURSELF that you seek to place on OTHERS.

if YOU cannot prove that your demons are real then why are you asking OTHERS to prove anything?

I feel the Lord would say that we, as Christians, are not here to "prove" God; we're here to preach the God who has proven HIMSELF.

Ok WWJD I posted on what I thought and how I felt about this thread. You say that I am quick to accuse you of being intolerant? Funny very funny! Any time ANYONE who posts ANYTHING that differs from the bibles text you jump right on them and respond with quotes from this book. But never have we seen you post YOUR OWN opinons on these subjects!  I have a right to not believe in God just as you have a right to believe in God.

Anytime I post anything that has to do with my own opinons on this subject you jump all over it and pick out certain words such as "I" well guess what I use "I" because I have my OWN mind and my OWN opinons on things.

So if you are so tolerant of those who differ from what your book says then why try to make them look like idiots or uneducated people? You say on one of your posts (actually a few different posts and not just directed at me but others on this site as well) that I am a child because of my views. Ok so let me ask this then. Have I ever stated in any of my posts that you or anyone else on this site are acting/sounding like children because of their beliefs? Nope But I have seen on several occassions where you have stated or implied this. Why the name calling? Are you that insecure in your judgements and beliefs? Really now WWJD does saying "your wrong", "I'm Right", "Your Wrong" <- (Your words from a previous thread directed towards myself) make you the adult or the child? Sounds more like something a 5 yr old would say!!!

I will comment when and where I like. I will state what I beleive whether you or anyone else likes it! So go a head and jump all over this post, I am looking forward to it!

No!

Even though I do not dispute that Jesus did not exist (I am sure that there were 100's of men named Jesus at that time, As well as there were 100's of men crucified at that time because that was their form of punishment) but I do dispute that Jesus was the son of God.

Mary was a virgin so what. There are lots of virgins who give birth to babies (ever hear of dry humping {no actual insertion of the penis into the vagina but sperm are funny little things they can swim and if sperm is anywhere near the opening of the vagina they can "slip" in and swim their little way to the egg} Hence the pregnancy of a virgin)

WWJD wrote on 10/14/2006 11:21:38 PM :
Mindy Said: There are lots of virgins who give birth to babies...

Lots?... goodness, what kind of an answer is that?

And oh; some people dispute whether santa is real; a child who doesn;t know any better will defend santa "to the death".

This reminds of that...

You dispute whether or not Jesus is the Son of God; you're acting like a child who defends a fairy tale.

It's a well established fact that Jesus is God's Son; He fulfilled prohectic Scriptuyre HUNDREDS of years before He came to the earth as a Man.

Simply read Isaiah 53 and Psalm 22 for the account of the Crucifiction.

Do you have evidence OTHER than a book that proves this? No? No DNA tests? No Physical evidence? Hmmm then how can this be a well established fact?

Also there are virgins who get pregnant it isn't a matter of being a child who doesn't know how conception works. Maybe speak with a doctor about this issue. It is possible and it does happen more than you know. http://www.soc.ucsb.edu/sexinfo/?article=faq2&refid=003#1 take a look at this info site for teens under the "CAN I GET PREGNANT IF" section. Although the probability of someone becoming pregnant through mutual masterbastion or dry sex is low it can and does happen. Who's to say this did not happen with Mary?

As far as me acting like a child defending a fairy tale? What fairy tale am I defending? I don't have a fairy tale to defend unlike yourself.  The bible is just that a fairy tale. There is no physical evidence what so ever proveing any of it.

WWJD wrote on 10/15/2006 9:42:35 PM :
You said LOTS of virgins; I didn;t dispute your claim; I simply dispute your exxageration of the claim.

You have no DNA evidence of the existence of Plato, Aristoltle and many other acients; do you deny their existence?

Also, we look to the Bible to learn of God BECAUSE it is the best place to look.

You claim you believe in spirt guides etc etc.... you have no evidence and yet you slam Christians because you say THEY have no evidence; that's called situational ethics; you allow yourself the pleasure to believe lies which cannot be proven but you quash those who have their own beliefs...and our beliefs can be and have been shown to be accurate.

If you want to know what the Whitehouse looks like inside, do you ask someone's personal advice on what it looks like if you're given the oppotunity to go in and see it for YOURSELF?

God can be known much clearer when one looks in the Bible, because the Bible tells of Him.

Dry sex and the virgin birth, girl your desperate to prove your so called point. Well, there are thoughs who say it is possible and that it is not possible. But there are no real life examples. At Least God left His Word with many witnesses. Where are your witnesses??

How are you all so sure she was a real virgin? I sure as h*ll wouldn't tell anyone that I had sex in those days. The girls would be unpure and was stoned to death as they were unworthy for marriage. I would lie my teeth off just to get out of that kind of stupid punishment (just liek she did Wink [;)]).
BlinkeredKitten wrote on 10/16/2006 7:35:31 AM :

Perhaps not because SHE said so, but because the Bible says so.

It's fine if you don't want to believe in the Bible. But there's no need for ignorance toward those who do. Everybody needs something to believe in.

The way I see it is, if I'm wrong, what have I lost? Nothing, really; I've just lived a decent life I can be proud of. If, however, I am right, then what have non-believers lost? Hell for eternity is a pretty serious price to pay for making the wrong choice.

That being said, this thread isn't about Mary's virginity. It's a question. Do you believe Jesus is Savior of the world?

mike6x5 wrote on 10/16/2006 11:55:11 AM :

You believe because you have seen.  Blessed are they who believe yet have not seen.

Jesus said that to Thomas, His disciple, when He appeared to him after His death.

I'll pick 'believe yet have not seen' for Eternity, Alex.

A lot of girls in our neighbourhood are stoned to death right now.  Sorry, bad joke.

There is ,or was in the Moncton area ,years ago, that as a teenager allowed herself to be in bed naked with a man. No penatration took place, but she stil got pregnate and was a virgin.

I knew her personaly and her family. Good people.

Today, any woman that wants to can be inpregnated by doctors and still remain a virgin.

No one disputed this fact; however, I disputed Mindy's blatant use of this scenario as saying it happens to "lots" of women and connecting it to Mother Mary.

That's a bit blasphemous, wouldn;t you say?

Cautiouslizard wrote on 10/17/2006 6:28:09 AM :
No one that is living on this earth today can say what happened and how she got pregnant. Just because it says so in a book doesn't mean it's true. I've always been taught not to believe everything you see or read as there is always more to the story.
mike6x5 wrote on 10/17/2006 8:50:01 AM :

Well...maybe not believe everything you read, but there are some things you can trust, dear!

I trust the Bible, particularly the New Testament, when Jesus did his teaching.  It's a no-spin zone - hence, I believe Mary was a blessed virgin.

At least I trust it more than Fox News.

Cautiouslizard wrote on 10/17/2006 9:00:55 AM :
I'm glad that you do trust it. I don't diss anyone that believes in the bible, but my opinion has always been the same, I consider it a book and nothing more. I take some and leave some but certainly don't believe all.
