Have You Ever....

WWJD wrote on 5/16/2006 7:18:44 PM :
Have you ever told a lie? Just ONCE? What do you call someone who tells a lie? ..a liar, right?

Have you ever stolen ANYHTHING in your life, just once? What do you call someone who steals? A thief.

Have you EVER, just once, lusted in your mind for someone else, sexually? Jesus said that you're an adulterer if you have...

If you have said yes to those three things above, then, by your OWN confession, you are:

A lying, thieving adulterer...and the Bible says that if you've broken ONE Law of God, you are guilty of breaking ALL of them.

You're damned to hell, by the standard of God, and we've just gone through 3 of the 10 commandments.

The Good News is this:

Let's say you owed a fine that you couldn't pay.

No judge in any Court Room would let you off scott-free just because you say you're sorry....any judge who lets a criminal go just because the criminal says, "I'm sorry"...well, that judge would soon be out fo a job, wouldn't he?

A JUST judge would never accept the "I'm sorry" line from anyone who broke the law....being sorry has nothing to do with punihsment; the sorriest criminal on earth still has to answer for his crime!

Well... now imagine that just as you're being sent to prison a stranger walks in and PAYS YOUR FINE.

You'd be shocked, thankful and you'd obviously want to know WHO the stranger was who paid your fine...wouldn't you?

Now, God says you've broken His Law.

In any eartly court, we've already established that the words "I'm sorry" won't stop justice from coming your way for breaking the law.

How much MORE just if God?

There is no second chance after trial and convition.

There is no "I'm sorry".

In the Courtroom of God your sins will be brought to testify against you one by one until you stand unable to defend yourself with cries of "I'm sorry".

In HIS Court, there is no appeal.

Shall not the Judge (God) of all the earth do RIGHT?

No one in their right mind would think it right for an eartly judge to let a child molester walk frree simply becaus ethe child molester says, "I'm sorry".

How much MORE will God Himself judge those who have lusted, lied, stolen, hated and done all sorts of evil?

The Bible says in Romans that the wages of sin is DEATH; eternal death and separation from God in hell, forever.

THAT is why Jesus came.

He paid the fine that you couldn't pay.

Just as you were about to be sentenced without Mercy, the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, God's Only Begotten Son, TOOK YOUR PLACE!

HE, Jesus, became YOUR Substitute!

HE took YOUR penalty for breaking GOD'S Law!

He DIED so you could LIVE.

That's why Jesus died on the Cross.

Your good deeds will never get you into Heaven and will never make you right with God.

Jesus died on the Cross BECAUSE you couldn't satisfy the Judgment of God; Jesus satisfied the Judgment of God FOR YOU.

Repent, turn from your sins and call out to God for Mercy and believe that what Jesus did on the Cross can change YOUR life.

If you want to be forgiven and set free from sin, pray this prayer to God and mean it with all of your heart:

"God, I turn from my sin and accept what Jesus did for me on the Cross.Thank you Jesus, for paying the fine I could not pay.I broke Your law, and you died in my place and rose from the dead so that I could be saved from the penalty of breaking Your Law.I ask You now to forgive me and to make me free from all sin and evil and that You would now make me Your Child for all eternity. In the Name of Jesus I pray, Amen."

So by your own admission you're a liar...

Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right and condemn you at death when you stand before His Glorious Presence?Shall not King Jesus say "Depart from Me, you cursed, into everlating fire."?

Thou shalt not...
Oh what the H-E-double hockey sticks, go ahead already, preach.
It's good to get all this out in the open, in a sensibly typed fashion. Displayed so that no one has any doubts about how sensible you are and how damned we all are. The pickle lies here. I have accepted the fact that there is and has existed a higher power. We are not as the ancient Japanese believed, created from the last breath of Panku, carver of the universe, born of the joining of the light and the dark, when all was chaos.who in that last breath gave motion and moisture to the air above his enormity and as he retracted to his fetal position, his spine and bones became the mountain ranges of the world, his veins and organs the oceans, rivers and streams, and the collective waste and parasites on his body, with the moisture and wind, spawned man....
Sorry, what was the question?
Oh yeah, has anyone ever done anything contradictive to the Bible (King James version I presume).

DUH?

I try to lie at least once a day, it keeps people guessing. Ok! so if I said I was a Christian would that be a lie? Ah...hmmmmm...!!!

Besides, the truth is lie that hasn't been told.

Christians lie all the time, they just don't know that they are lying. Christians are people too, and most people lie. Or should we say, stretch the truth.

The truth is a lie which has not been told.

SweetM,

That's a very, very interesting approach.
What has not been told/spoken, is a lie.
Once spoken, by the author or the speaker becomes a truth.
A truth for that speaker.

That which man has not felt, is foreign and considered alien to life.
That which mankind has not experienced is yet to come.
That which makes us who we are, is surely the truths we have experienced and the knowledge we are equipped with.

What is not spoken by those who would rather keep secrets than speak their minds are overwhelming in their sincerity and restricted in their delivery. To speak one's mind on a daiily basis from a viewpoint of humanity, is what keeps everything relevant. Hiding emotion, values, likes, dislikes, either vailed by religion or personal uncertainty, prolongs the melt-down of effective communication.

In a nut-shell: Sit on it and it will explode underneath you!

We are reasoning persons. Okay, and so, that can get us into trouble now and again. But, overall, the sooner you learn to say what is in your heart and on your mind (inseperable - best not to speak out without the two together) the very badderest it gets!

Your two cents, expanded by my two cents...minus the governments cut of 15 percent...woh, can't even by one fuzzy-peach candy, with what's left over.

If I'm spreading lies as you say then name one or don;t assume the unknown

Jesus Christ loves you and died in your place.
macdoug wrote on 6/14/2006 11:24:36 PM :
Who can name the unknown?

You?

unkown: i would say that he's infalible, has never lie or will ever lie, ever again in his or her life. it's just that no one knows about the lies only he/she.

I try not to lie but my couch makes me do it all the time. I really like it when I get to read these kind of posts. It stimulates my mind and gives me a better understanding of the world and it's vast array of people. Some agree with each other. Some don't. The good thing is everybody can let their opinions fly and nobody gets hurt. Two people ready to throttle each other on the message boad might be the best of friends in real life and not even realise it. GOD, I love this place, and I'm not lying.Angel [A]
