Security Council discusses possible sanctions after the North fired seven missiles on Wednesday, including a long-range Taepodong-2, which failed.

well in my opinion if it's up to bush he'll be sending the troops in soon

Is there anymore troops that he can send in though...They are spread so thin as it is...This is a huge undertaking if moved forward

why would they want to sanction a country that want to protect themself against globalization   with the US ,Britain and China at the reigns

I honestly think that North Korea is the new super power of the world. Think about it. For years now no one has paid them much attention they have all been to F-ing worried over OIL! So now they are "testing" the weapons that they have had the last 3 yrs to build.

Now all of a sudden the USA is worried about what North Korea is doing? Hmm shouldn't they have worried about them once they caught the person who Bombed one of their major cities? Oh ya right they never caught him. but instead switched gears and went after a whole different country over OIL!

So now here is North Korea testing the great weapons they have had time to build without worry that someone would catch on.  They have one of the strongest MEANEST armies in the world. (really this army isn't going to die over a god! They are going to die over POWER! which is much MUCH more important to them!) So in the next 5 yrs we will be pretty much blown to bits but who really cares? I would rather be dead than under the reign of some crazy Korean dictator who is seeking power not holiness!

Thing is Canada is the one who is going to suffer because Bush is going to put pressure on OUR leader and OUR PM is going to say "Ok we have lots of "troops" lets send them to face North Korea"

I beleive that most of the info is from 2002 but it is pretty staggering and scary. If it was that bad then (when bush may have been able to do something about it) think about what it is like 4 yrs later.

Pingpong Wang (or whatever his name is) needs to be put in his place.  I'm just not sure who's going to do it, or how.  But the U.S. hasn't bothered to have talks with Korea and let the other big 6 try to fix the situation instead.  Imagine the world's lone superpower leaving the world's biggest threat to the juniors of the UN council while it's busy with Iraq, a country that never was a threat to begin with.

Now North Korea's pissed that they were ignored, and they've got a missiles and an itchy trigger finger.  Sounds like the Soviets all over again.

Ya I have a feeling that we are all going to end up blown to bits. But that is better than living under a dictator.

Bush has declined all direct talks with North Korea but is pretty much begging for help now from the UN. Maybe he should have paid more attention to one of the biggest meanest armies the world has ever seen. AND TAKEN THEM SERIOUSLY!!!

Now Bush has spent valuable resources and LIVES on his little oil project and doesn't know how to handle North Korea who have missles that have the ability to fire upto 5000 miles and release 12 warheads EACH!

Bush sucks and now his country and OURS are going to end up paying for it.
