GENEVA - A U.N. rights panel Friday demanded the immediate closure of any secret U.S. detention facilities and criticized Washington on a range of other issues, calling for a moratorium on capital punishment and improved treatment of poor and black citizens following Hurricane Katrina

The US will do nothing. Can't you see, they are Black.

I find in our current society that we practice " reverse racism" which means that because we need to be politically correct, we can not insult anyone besides the white. Foreigners come to canada..and they get jobs before us, it is known that some blacks have been accepted into university over whites who had higher marks. We do not want to insult anyone...we are in a luke warm society, I know at school there is one black student and he calls all the white kids honkey's and trash and verbally and physically abuses everyone...but if you say the word black in front of him, you cnan ger suspended. SOmething is wrong there.

Bulert, you have to realize that as a white person you get breaks your whole life that these people don't. If a black person calls me a honkey, a cracker, anything else derogatory I'll spout the same crap back off to him. A lot of blacks in the southern states have it hard. Their schools are underfunded, they get crap jobs, they're held down more then you realize. Read "The Ice Opinion" by Ice T and you'll get a whole new perspective on how blacks are treated in the states. They've been disenfranchised. There were thousands of black ballots destroyed in the Bush election, many more simply turned away at the polls. You only hear of this stuff once until there is enough pressure put on the news station to take it off the air. The american news channels are propaganda machines. Run by both sides of the government. Don't underestimate the power of the colour of your skin.

The kids who go to my school are from the lower housing. Everyone has it hard. I hate it how I am supposed to endure abuse by a kid my age because he is a different color. That is the same thing. I did not do anything to him, and I don???t care if he is black, blue. Purple, yellow, Greek, German, Jewish, or Irish. It really annoys me, and he gets let off for everything and so do the other black students in my school. it is not a rasist comment, it is true
Faulty wrote on 7/29/2006 11:10:55 AM :
I didn't say it was racist, but we're not talking about your school :) We were talking about the U.S. and the governments complete disregard for the lower class.

How about the US forgets about blacks and whites and just HELPS?

Why is it always about race?

How in the heck can the US government possibly turn a profit if it costs money to help people. Besides poor people don't pay taxes. The US government needs it's money to fight wars with. The money can't be spent on things like food, housing, education, etc. If poor people get hungry enough they will join the army.Ick! [+o(]
