Any new good self-help books on the shelf lately?

It is no accident that you are reading this sentence.

Indeed, the fact that you just happened to read this topic on this forum is surely no coincidence...

In my opinion, it`s more than luck and more than chance-it is fate!

And you will understand why, if you decide to read one of the best "Self-Help" book I have ever read:

Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield.

FYI - It is a story of a middle-aged man's journey to Peru in search of an ancient manuscript whose nine "Insights" are transforming mankind. At the heart of The Celestine Prophecy is the conviction that by studying these insights we can become more spiritual, riding through life on a glorious stream of synchronistic intuition and eventually transporting ourselves to a higher plane of being...

Maybe we should start a book club in here, what do you think?
(It`s my favorite hobby!)

Your hobby is to start book clubs?   Wink

Sounds like a good idea to me, though I usually follow Groucho Marx in his belief, that "I'd never join a club that would have ME as a member".

My favourite book these days is "Ishmael" by Daniel Quinn.  I would love to meet people who've read it and would like to discuss the ideas found within it.

Cheers

I guess you could write your own self help book, but to answer your question I would never buy a self help book which means I have not read any, sorry! But maybe I could help you in other ways? Do tell!

A guy once walked into the Moncton Library and asked the librarian where the self help books were.

She answered him with "Sir, If I told you where they were it would defeat the purpose."

He settled for a book on anger management.
