I think I can just change it by going into the control panel under date and time..But/...I could be mistaken..

    Ok...........
Your time is displayed in the lower right corner, double click on it, a date and time box opens, change your setting there.

There's some around here, that don't know whither it's Tuesday, or Norway.

    You mean it's not 2029?

I just got 22 years younger.

You might have to replace your backup battery to make your changes stick.

Ok did that and it brings me the same options as from the control panel..I can change the month day and time but not the year....can you change the year on yours by double clicking the right hand corner?
I am wondering why it even says 2029...how could that happen?

Maybe you fell asleep for 22 years. What does the future look like? Am I a rich old geezer or am I still pedalling the Hardly Davidson? Am I still riding in the Poor Man's Limo or living on a park bench covered by yesterday's newspaper?

It should show the month then the year. Are you running an old virgin of windows?

ha ha..yes its an old "virgin" version...but what would that matter...must be a way to change the year...and I just keep wondering why the year jumped like that...never did before

I had a puter once that used to reset to 1991 everytime I shut it off if I recall correctly. Never heard of one resetting into the future. Did you run a virus scan?

The Mac guy, enters the fray...
Yup, listen to the Willie Meister. In the Date-Time arena, if there is no way to change the year, then you are running an older version of Windoze and you may have to sell all your remaining stock in Bell Telephone to change the date...or perhaps, change the battery on the mother board by taking your entire box, firmly aware, to a 'puter place where they deal with outdaters, such as yourself and have the entire affair cordonned off whilst you go and purchase an Apple product.

Wish I could help more...but, no one has come up with better than a Mac, as yet.
