    " The Eagles " coming Aug.2nd

The Eagles are expected to perform in Moncton this summer as the New Brunswick city has apparently won a tight competition to lure the country-rock legends to the Maritimes.

The band will be in Moncton on Aug. 2,

I saw them twice in England including a great day at Wembley Stadium in 1975. Joe Walsh performed separately (I saw them together a few years after). The Beach Boys and Elton John were all on the same bill.

It was also 1975 when I first visited Canada - staying in Saint John, but we passed through Moncton on the way to NS.Smile [:)]

    What a year!!

Hmmmm.....The Eagles at The Pope Site.........That will cost at least $25.00. With my budget I'm lucky enough to be able to coff up the $6.00 to see The Seagulls at The Landfill Site.

    And the rest................
If you get away under $100 you will be doing good.

The United Way has been using volunteers to provide services for the last couple of events at the site, you get in free, and are close enough to see/hear, but you gotta do a bit of work.

I helped set up a couple of concerts and WWF events at the Colliseum before and those days far far over with. Now I'm lucky if I can set up a small stereo.

I heard it was unconfirmed yet, and also heard "unconfirmed" that the tickets would be the most expensive tickets up to date.
Just waiting till it's all over.

    Re: " The Eagles " coming Aug.2nd

yes the only free thing at the magnetic hill site would be the pope if he came back but they would likely find a way to charge for that but if someone wants to see a concert in this or any other city we must be ready to pay

Willie, they use ticket takers/sellers, stuff you can do sitting down, there should be something for everyone that volunteers no matter your state (except drunk, well at least starting out).
The people putting up/taking down are usually from a temp agency.

Well they wouldn't let you bring water, something to sit on, food, unbrella etc... but have it all for sale inside the actual event.

    Re: " The Eagles " coming Aug.2nd

Why can't they get something like about 5 or 10 less expensive bands like April Wine or Trooper and a few local bands. Let a few locals jam with the oldies and make it a two day event for less than 100.00? They would be able to make a fortune selling food, beer, and souveneers. Us poor people can't afford the yearly "big cash grabs".

They did something like that in 1998. They had a bunch of good old bands like foreigner, pat benatard, leonnard skinard, head pins etc... was a 2 day even and the tickets were only 70$ each
