    Re: RCMP NEWS RELEASES

Salisbury and Petitcodiac have always been policed by the RCMP.  With each having a community base of about 2000 people municipal policing has never been an option.  We have local offices and a good relationship with the officers in our towns.

It was not a matter of the police knowing what happened - they simply needed to find the body.   Its hard to arrest people for murder when there is no body.  There is a lot of territory to cover around here.   Goodness there are cliffs and gullies back in Elgin and Parkindale that a body could be dropped and never found.

Once the police had the body the arrests happened very quickly.  This was not a random murder.  When you are into drugs and other crimes anything can happen.

No chance of pulling our communities into the debate on municipal policing - simply doesn't apply.

    Re: RCMP NEWS RELEASES

true avon  but inb my book the rcmp should be like the fbi policing the major crimes only and not policing the municipalities   if they need polices well  get our nb police force back

Had my own ways to do just that ! I did an IP look-up with the given email address. We got a rough idea who they are, now I'm just trying to figure out the "why" part of this, before going to far.
