A laser pointer has got to be the greatest cat toy in the world. A cat will chase the little red dot along the floor for hours. The four cats here love it and one of them will sit next to me all day just waiting for me to get the red dot cat toy. The last two pointers I bought came from Price Choppers on Elmwood Drive and they used to sell them at any Dollar Store. Unfortionately I can't find them any where. The one here is on it's last legs. If anybody can tell me where to find them within a ten mile radius of Moncton I will be a very happy camper and will even set my tent up in the kitchen to prove it.

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

Mr.Wuddle........I don't know if its true but someone told me that those laser pointers are now illegal to sell......so maybe thats why you can't find one anywhere...........seems people were using them to blind people and cause car accidents and such.

a small flashlight works just as well ,or your wristwatch and sun beam is also good,takes a little getting used to controlling on the wall but the cats will still chase it.

You're probably right on that one. I'll be a rebel and break down and spend the $7.00 for new batteries for the old pointer. I just hope somebody doesn't try to make it illegal to sell those little batteries after being stupid enough to mistake them for pills or something. It was so much simpler just to buy the pointer and batteries at any Dollar Store. Thanks for you reply.

I have a 3 legged cat here...he was born missin 1 leg.....he gets around  ok...jumps, but when he runs ....he kicks his right leg out to keep balance....kinda cute!

What is a Cat?

I just found a laser pointer fot 1 cent on e-bay with 3 minutes left bidding time. Was I ever excited. My excitement died when I found out I'd have to spend almost $16.00 to get it shipped. I let the great deal pass.

Like I said before, there's a "Buck or Two" down the road that has a whole rack of em. Batteries included. Tell me how many you want and send me a shipping address (off-line) and I'll send the shop owners son to college on the profits.

My cat (Chance) loves his Laser Pointer. I can get him half way up the wall before he realizes the only way down is to be VERY cat-like.

Chat Room

I really like playing with the 4 cats at Galpal's house. They can chase the light from the living room, through the kitchen, and clean out into the back porch, the complete length of the house, from one end to the other. I can even get a little hocky game going in the kitchen til one of the full cat dishes goes sailing across the floor. Then I pretend to do something on the puter.

I have a cute cat. A few nights ago I looked over at her and got the strangest feeling that she felt lonely. What do you think...do you think cats feel lonely?
