    Shared Connection

I am asking this question for my cousin..

She uses dialup. She recetly got a laptop. She wants to know if there is a way that she can go on both computers at the same time. Can you hook dialup to a router? or is there a way you can connect one to dial up and make a connection between with the laptop and pc desktop with a usb wireless adapter. she just wants both pc's to be able to gonline at the samr time. thanks. :)

    Re: Shared Connection

setup your desktop with the modem with Internet Connection Sharing enabled with a crossover e-cable to an access point.

The laptop's wireless default gateway should be the desktop's NIC IP address.

    Should work :)

    Re: Shared Connection

Or another way is just use the sign in name and password for the dialup user and whola connected. And yes both computers can be on the net at the same time and no cables or routers. but SHHHHHHH i didnt say that LOL

Not to go off the subject but I am lol. Since you mentioned Victoria park, why do homeless guys always approach women? I had this guy yesterday morning come up to me in a rush (and I will also add that he was pretty high on his kite) and start telling me he's from halifax and that he slept in victoria park the night before. I stopped him right there and told him if it was for a place to stay not to bother asking me (this guy was like 6" tall and kinda scary looking). The same thing happened to me last summer on main street.

Why would any guy stop a small chick (even a bigger chick that me for that matter) and ask for a place to stay? Are they really that far off that they don't see the common sence?

I help everyone I can out but come on. A scruffy 6" stranger runs up to a barely 5" tall chick and really expect to have a place to stay. Man I thank my lucky stars that I never fell into those kind of drugs.

Just waiting till it's all over.

He probably is just looking for someone to cook, do the dishes, laundry, father his kids, clean, wait on him hand and foot, and be there for entertainment purposes. I prefer just to give them some some spare change. You should always do what you can to help people homeless people out. Just find out which way they came in.

There is a special panhandler school either in Halifax or Dartmouth. They teach people how to panhandle their way into high incomes.

    Re: Shared Connection

Well you know, if they come up to me and they are high as high can be, why the hell would I want to even bother giving them change/ So they can go buy some more crap to get high with once they have enough change? I think not. I give change to people I see are truly homeless but not due to drugs. I hate the nerves of the ones that are either drunk or high and really expect me to give up my hard earned money (because I bother to go to work each day) to druggies.
