| Birthdate: March 26th. (Another bloody Aries. Why are there so many of us at the Edge? And if you feel like getting me a little something special, I like cash.)
I just returned form the east coast where I hosted a morning show at a rock station for 10 years. People are still making posts on websites protesting my departure (aww thanks guys), and the newspaper called me “flamboyant and often controversial” (They hadn’t heard of Dean Blundell, obviously!).
I spent my formative years in Streetsville and grew up listening to what was once known as “the Spirit of Radio” 102.1 the EDGE. I am currently covered in bruises from repeatedly pinching myself. I’m starting to realize I am awake (even though it’s the middle of the night) and I really am ON THE AIR @ THE EDGE. I really am in Kansas Dorothy!
Things to know about Lisa M:
• I have a dual personality. I still cry when I run out of money to give a homeless person, think of the state of the world today, or at something as sappy as a sad movie. I’m extremely warm and love talking with just about anyone (Why does everyone assume because I talk to strangers that I am not from Toronto?). However, I have little tolerance for ignorance, arrogance, self-pity and misogyny (to name a few) and have no trouble taking those demonstrating these traits to task on it. In these circumstances as Uma said in Kill Bill “It’s mercy, compassion and forgiveness I lack, not rationality.”
• Some say the M stands for Mistress ( I do own a whip, and possess a razor sharp tongue.) My advice? Don’t mess with me unless you like the abuse. ;)
• I LOVE chocolate. Do not ever put yourself in harm’s way by standing in between me and chocolate. You will lose whatever battle ensues..
• I love my 2 dogs There’s my boxer Lillith (yes, named after the supposed first wife of Adam who dumped his sorry ass and was then vilified for it – whatever! Sister was doing it for herself!) . Then there’s my Chihuahua, Destiny.
• I hate the question “what’s your favourite band?” Please ask me something original. My music taste is expansive and eclectic. I cannot not sum it up or explain it to ANYONE with just one band.
• I always root for the underdog.
• I love helping out in my community and believe that if we all cared a little less about ourselves and more about our fellows, the world would be a better place (I could have said “world peace” which would have been easier, but I loathe beauty pageants and they stole a really good phrase.)
I look forward to playing your requests on the All Request Breakfast – just remember I’ll always make you work for it. E-mail me. Peace Out.

Re: c103 attempts to erase memories of lisa marshal
I don't know if it was an old show but over the Christmas holidays I saw a program with Lisa Marshall on Rogers television. I was thinking she was back.

Re: c103 attempts to erase memories of lisa marshal
Anyone heard her radio show on Saturday nights? Pretty wild hearing her knowing how far away she is. Man does C103 ever lack a voice like hers.

Yep, I think that's our duty!
I have forgotten about C103, though. Haven't listened to it since she's been gone. You know what's a good station, is OZ-FM from Newfoundland, on channel 951 on Bell Ex Vu. They have the best mix of music I've heard yet.

Re: c103 attempts to erase memories of lisa marshal
I totally agree. I haven't listened to that station since they got rid of her, in all honesty. They just lost my interest completely!

Re: c103 attempts to erase memories of lisa marshal
I have to admit, I also love Ernie and the Tatter better. I was PO when Lisa did go, but after awhile of no choice in the matter, I got to listen to them again in the morning and they make a great team together.
The play list improved a tad but not Sunday mornings. The play list sucks. I had to drive to Rogersville every Sunday morning to bring my son to my parents each week and had to listen to crap all the way there and back.
Just waiting till it's all over.

Re: c103 attempts to erase memories of lisa marshal
I listened to talk hosts like Andrew Krystal on News 91.9 in the mornings when I used to be able to hear it in the mornings. Where I work now, the music is piped in, so no more DJs. That's actually a good thing. They'd come to just annoy me.
And I hear C103 from time to time in a store or something, somewhere. Sounds like the same old crap to me. Some things will never change.

OZ-FM even promotes concerts, too.
