    Local Events in your dooryard

Now is the time of year to get out in your dooryard and make little rivers in the snow and ice.  Grab your shovels and pick axes and have some fun.  Everyone's participating right now.  It's fun.  It's free and it's the "in" thing to do this time of the year.  The make-rivers-in-your-driveway season is now underway!

    LOL!

I see a lot of it on my travels.  I even have it going on in my driveway and can't wait for a little warmer weather to really dig in at it.

This afternoon, I saw actually saw a fellow with a pick axe.  He just can't wait to get rid of his ice.  Sure hope he doesn't ruin the nice pavement when he swings that axe.

I have never seen or heard of that before. Though I will admit to getting a certain amount of glee sitting outside watching the snow and ice shrink.

aymry, didn't you, as a little boy, play like this.......make little river beds for the water to run?

Sheesh....I can't believe you haven't seen or heard of this before.  It's a spring time thing.  Just drive around town and look at all the people, this time of the year, outside in their driveways playing, LOL!

I'm going to make a river in my driveway and float chicken bones down it. I'll call it the Poulet River run.

After looking at that link in the other topic of the Poulet River run ya best be putting a little brew on each chicken bone.
