I read some of the commentary below the video.  The debates about whether the song is aboud God or a person kind of take away from the song.  We won't know what the song was written about (unless the writer himself tells us), but if you want it to be about God, that's your decision.  If you feel it perfectly represents what you want to say about your wife, that's fine for you.  But why go shoving the song's meaning down other people's throats?  Look at this post:

A very closed minded "you're wrong I'm right" answer.  And while I'm at it, why don't I bully you into agreeing with my beliefs.

Good song though.  I'd never heard it before. 

I saw Lifehouse live once.  Not bad, but it felt like the whole concert everyone was just waiting for them to play "Hanging by a moment".
