Perhaps to some people it is, Notme ... but not me.

Christmas - as with any other holiday - is what you make it in your own mind. There will always be people who use every opportunity to show off ... to give and be "the best." That's why we need more people like Cloudhopper who remember the Reason for the Season and who will teach the next generation that the best gift is still to give of ourselves: our time and our love ... not our money.

Caution: does not play well with stupid people.

I love Christmas. I don't like the two or three weeks leading up before Christmas (Shake hands with your neighbour one day and kill him over a W-Mart parking spot, tomorrow). When 6:00 pm on December 24th comes around I sit back, crack open some brew, give a sigh of relief (one year wrapped up all the presents but forgot to put the name tags on them.....It worked out in the end.), and really enjoy the next two days with my family, inlaws, outlaws, and freinds. Happy Birthday, Jesus. I realize it probably really isn't Your real biological birthday but it is such a great day of peace and humanity that I associate it with You.
