    Willie, I won't tell anyone, if you won't, but if you lived anywhere near "the big smoke" 8 track tapes could be bought with whatever kind of music you wanted on them.

    There was also a format called "4 track", that pre-dated 8 track.

    And you *thought* you are old.

    I remember reel to reel tapes. A good machine to play them cost about $600.00 or roughly 7 weeks pay for me at the time. Needless to say I never got one.

    I got another product to add to the "shuffle em in shuffle em out" pile.  iPod Nano.  I don't know if it applies to the other versions of the iPod, but the Nano's battery is only meant to last two years.  After that, it can't even be replaced.  You have to throw out the whole thing and buy a new one!  They cost between $200 and $300.

    Not for me, thank you.  Well, I have one now, but when it's gone, it's gone.  It won't be replaced.
