I almost hit my head on the second covered bridge once while on the back od a motorbike at 90 miles an hour. The second covered bridge is gone now.

When I hit the bridge it was in my pick up truck. I had a Trans Am once that had the front end let go as I was passing a school bus on Elmwood Drive and a Torino GT who's steering let go at a whopping 10 miles per hour (a bit scary but nobody got hurt).

I think I had four beastie cars in my time. My first was a 1972 T-Bird with a 400 motor. For a first car it was really more than I could handle. My second beastie car was a 1970 Ford Torino GT with a 429 Cobrajet motor and a Holly carberater as big as a small neighbourhood. Actually it was a 750. My third beastie was a 1976 Trans Am I bought from one of my cousin's freinds. It had a 400 motor and really moved. My forth beastie was a 1976 LeMans. It had a 350 motor. I sold the LeMans and the guy who bought bitched and complained that he couldn't tune it up right. Two months later he was happy as heck to tell me that it had a Corvette motor in it. I met the original owner a few years later and she told me she wanted the the biggest motor Pontiac had but at the time the Corvette motor was the most powerful motor they had.

I had a 1970 Buick LeSaber with a 454 motor but it was the size of a small neighbourhood so I couldn't afford to race it much.

This is what my Torino looked like except the one in the pic has a way better paint job. Mine was poor man's flat black with lots of wax. Mine also had 14 or 15 inch wide tires on the back.

It would gobble up the Starsky And Hutch Torino of the seventies.

I tried squeeling the tires once and ended up doing a smaller version of this pic:

My experience was that the front end only came up about 6 inches then almost hit another car in the parking lot where I used to work. It was not one of my better ideas.

The best I ever had was 430 horsepower in the Torino (97,589 horsepower if you ad up all the vehicles I ever owned..........This is only just a drunken estimate based on bull poop purely to tell a story).
