I *think* you are talking "festival", rather than an "event", the promoter (and the city) seems to want "events" rather than a "festival". Usually at a festival, in this type of setting, is a "party till you drop" kind of thing, get up and party some more, I would think insurance is the issue with this kind of thing. If enough folks wanted a festival, and spoke up, I'm sure if the promoter thought there was money to be made, it would happen.

That would be nice to see something like that at The Pope Site but an extra day of roadblocks and heavy duty traffic would probably cripple the city.

if the city planned things right they could handle it but we may need a few tent cities set up

Well, I could get right on that if Paul Martin was still Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, I don't know, well, maybe I could get the promise of a bus out of him, maybe get Willie to drive it, and HECK, if the bus has a radio, and LOTS of beer, we don't have to go anywhere? Do we?
