I'm booked to see him next month.
There's a chance I might pull through.

I'm always curious about what or how people change their life styles.....do you mind expanding on that?

I'll say a little about myself.  I began hearing that I had to change my life style in 1999.  I've been working at it ever since.  Lately I was told I REALLY have to change my life style and I'm working at working at that MORE.  My diet sure has changed but it's hard.

Changing your lifestyle is one of the hardest yet easiest things a person can do. A person will not die from giving up , or at least cutting back, on something he loves. Always try to find something to replace the thing you're trying to give up or think of it as a challenge in life. The hardest thing I ever had to quit was the vlc machines. It took me over two years to quit. Towards the end it was every paycheck and more down the tubes then I'd quit again til next payday. One day I just said "That's it" and quit quitting. I didn't look at it as quitting the machines but that the machines were cigarette machines. As I never smoked I lost all interest in them. Vlts were no longer existant. I replaced my vlt addiction by finally moving out on my own and paying rent, phone bills, food , etc. I was still broke every week but at least I had something to show for it.

Wow.....you gave up vlc machines.  That's really something!

I don't even know where to put the money in those rigs......thankfully!  Close to home I know people who lost everything including the people who loved them.  It's to be commended that you gave em up.  Wow, wow!

Awhile ago, I went for breakfast with a couple of friends I hadn't seen in years.  They took turns at a vlc machine.  One would sit and talk to me while the other was up playing the machine, then the other one would sit while the other one played.  It disturbed me to be part of that.  It was as if it was a bother to meet up with them.  I was cutting into their vlc time.  Too bad......

Gotta say.....good for you Willi!  You have determination eh!

Me?  I'm determined to eventually give up all sugar.  I gave up me beloved brew years ago, but now to give up the candy, fudge, cookies.......ahhh.....not yet.  I gave up ice cream....that's enough for now.

One of my best customers lost his house, truck, his bank account, even his dog in about a 3 month period. It was the hardest I ever heard of anybody being hit. I was lucky. It took me 13 years to lose $26,000.00 and I got off easy. The first year was about $50.00. The second year was about $100.00. The third year was about $300.00. Towards the end I was sinking pretty fast.
