$2.50 is not a lot of money to pay for a bank transaction from an ATM. Just ask the bank manager who drives a new Mercedes. He wouldn't lie to you. If you want a second opinion ask the poor guy who is sewing his last two bread crusts together in an attempt to make a sandwhich. To him $2.50 can become 2 loaves of bread from a day old bread store and 30 cents in change.

Ironically the rich bank manager most likely doesn't have to pay any bank charges at all.

Willie is right at least so far as Royal Bank goes. When I was in their call center even as a temp agent we got a special employee account with no transaction fees. Things like NSF and what not applied but not bank machine fees.

Regarding the PC banking being free of fees... I know it's consumer accounts are, I have no idea about it's business accounts (if it even has any I would think CIBC which is it's parent company would handle those)

You pull 'em down and there's really nothing there

Their site doesn't specifically mention business accounts but more than one account isn't a problem, so I don't see that an account couldn't be run for a business.

When we opened ours, we opened two, intending to keep one exclusively relating to our rental property, so that was kind of a business account.

Kind of, but a business account is a special category all it's own. The account is different. You get like deposit bags, books of deposit slips, if you need a PoS (point of sale, not piece of shite though in some cases there is no difference) system, and loads of other things that "businesses" use that we common folk don't.

If I like complaining about the banking machines being few and far between in Moncton they are really far apart up here in Taterland. The nearest one I know of is in Woodstock. I went all the way there yesterday only to realize I left my bank card in my coat pocket back at the house.Embarrassed [:$]

Oboy, I can make a 55 mile round trip to deposit money then rush back and enjoy the convenience of internet banking.Big Smile [:D]
