Re: A Thirty Year Old Question

I have had guys check me out in public, i just dont respond, aslong as their hands do not touch my person at anytime, then there shouldnt be any issue. Tell a woman she looks " beautiful" and you will get a diffrent response!

Re: A Thirty Year Old Question

Just found this. I will do more research when my bandwidth is not being used for other things. However to the best of my knowledge sexual harassment is sexual harassment regardless of the gender of the harasser and harassee

But yeah umm good luck proving a furtive glance or even looking at someone during conversation as harassment. You can harass by looking but I think we can all define what "leering" and "staring" are.

Re: A Thirty Year Old Question

This is a legitimate question. Please don't laugh. Why is it if a nice looking girl passes by a guy he always loses? If he comments on her he is a pervert. If he ignores her he is gay. Is there any way a guy can win here?

Willi, more detail please.  Did you say something and get a reaction somewhere?

I've experienced many inappropriate comments and touching over the years.  Not now, back then keep in mind.  I'm grey-haired and have the body of my age but when I was younger many times I feared what would be next.  I covered myself so as not to attract attention.  I still cover myself out of habit from being a young girl in those years gone by.

Often, nowadaze, I see young girls going around with those low cut outfits and shudder at what they're exposing, BUT then I think to myself, "isn't this great that in this day and age woman can dress the way they want and feel safe."

The young men today are not like the young men of yesterday, in my opinion.  They grew up with clevage, but in my day if you showed a centimeter of clevage, you were a whore and wanted attention.

    blah.....blah....ramble...ramble.......yup

...but yet you will hear many females (of all age) say men don't pay attention to me, but when they do its called harassment. Society has a double standard for men and women and the lines are thin. |So don't cross them fellows.

I think that might be the case in some relationships but not in regards to this topic.

It's just something I noticed throughout the years. A lot of times I sat back and watched the game being played.

Just noticed, Willi?  Common now tell me how you really feel.  When you say in your opening lines...."Is there any way a guy can win here?"  What begee do ya want?  Do you want to go back to the daze when a fella could yell out to a woman on the street, "look at the knockers on her guys!"

Do you want to be able to slap a waitress on the ass?

The question is, do you want other men slapping your mate on the ass?

Your topic me friend, go atter. I'm curious.

I'll go .. though my statements belong to me not Willie, or anyone else.

If you look pretty or I think the blouse looks good on you why can't I say so? If you make my jaw want to drop why should I have to fight the urge to say "wow" ? Why should someone's knickers get in a knot if I open a door for you you could have opened yourself.

I am not , nor do I believe willie is but I'll let him speak for himself, suggesting for one millisecond that women be "leered at" or "objectified" (though if you think men don't say "wow check out the bald commuters on her a train" you are mistaken it's just whispered now instead of yelled it's the same kind of men in the same kind of setting that used to say it saying it now)

You wanted equal treatment ? I don't have to watch what I say about other men maybe women need to grow some thicker skin on their knockers instead of being all litigious.

Re: A Thirty Year Old Question

A person has to be careful of what he says. He can't usually tell a girl she has nice hooters but he can comment on how nice the sweater enhances them. That way he is commenting on the sweater not her hooters.

Actually I'm not a slapper but a pincher. It's kind of like a loaf of bread, you pinch it not slap it. Sometimes it takes a bottle of liquid courage for a guy to accomplish this. Til then if he is the shy type who doesn't say or do anything the girl just assumes he's gay or at least wonders about him.

Willi, you're just joking around, ya nut!

In the workplace, you can't say so now.  What you can say is, "you look nice today."  Is there anything wrong with saying just that?

You also can say "That's a nice blouse.  It suits you" or something similar to that.

If you make my jaw want to drop why should I have to fight the urge to say "wow"?

You'll have to learn to keep the "wow" comments to yourself.

Why should someone's knickers get in a knot if I open a door for you you could have opened yourself.

I don't think opening a door is off limits.

What men say to each other privately is not the issue.  It is the leering we're talking about or the sexist comments that has been allowed up until now.

You wanted equal treatment ? I don't have to watch what I say about other men maybe women need to grow some thicker skin on their knockers instead of being all litigious.

Are we talking about equal treatment here?  Nope, that's another topic.  However on the same note of your statement......you men need to grow some thicker skin about not being able to use sexual inuendos nowadaze and learn how to talk to women without bringing their body parts into the conversation.

Why don't you just wear the dark glasses and carry a white cain and you can look all you like.
