    Re: water bottles containing BPA

We should just quit drinking bottled water.  Tap water is generally better for you.

I prefer the "cleaner" taste of bottled water (the kind from the refilling machine at the pharmacy). I also like the convinience of my water cooler. Considering the sheer volume of water I drink it saves alot of time and is way more convienient.

From what I understand the concern is with "soft" plastics my jugs should be okay .... Of course I could be wrong it isn't like I can follow it all that closely at the moment. Too busy calling family in fredericton and worrying about them.

For anyone interested there are a number of videos and articles on the whole BPA and antimony chemical leaching issue on this site: http://www.plasticfreebottles.com

    That's a great site, Eco.....thanks!

This plastic/bottled water stuff has been on my brain.  I gave up re-using those plastic bottles and bought some better bottles now.

I don't drink bottled water.  I drink water out of my fridge which has a filter on it and the water comes from the city.

I really don't think many people are paying much attention to the warnings either.  Everyone I talk to just isn't concerned.......for good reason too.  We've all heard so many warnings about everything eh!  Then they change the tune saying they were wrong.

My opinion is it's best to be safe.

Zymry?  What?  Do you have family in the flood zone?

Yeah I have a cousin and her 2 kids and husband, and an Aunt and her husband.

I wasn't overly concerned about the cousin and her family. They know when water rises seek higher ground (they live up a fairly decent hill though so they are safe and aren't really effected by the flooding at all they can get to and from wherever they need to.

My Aunt however has animals and is all kinds of stubborn. I am neglectful and hadn't spoken to her in about a year so I didn't know if she still had her laying hens or not (she didn't thank goodness) They evacced wednesday morning took the RV to a friends house on higher ground will be at least a couple weeks before they can go back. I don't anticipate her waiting that long. They live right on the old highway on what is called the "river valley scenic route" now. In Sheffield.

I've been watching that site you posted, Zymry.  There's some pretty good video too.

Ooooo Sheffield eh!  That area got hit hard.  It's amazing how much land the St. John river floods.  It goes for miles back on the flats.  The farmers will be late getting on the fields this year again.

Yeah they will I mean WTF we may actually have to buy corn for the corn boil we have when we go to fix the place up rather than driving through the adjoining field with an atv, a scythe, and fast hands.
