I liked it but it didn't seem to have much to do with hockey.

Personally I think the Cable guy was a bomb as well...What a dissapointment.  You have a level of expectation when you watch any movie with Carrey.  I don't even think this came close.  I also recently in the past month saw the movie Assault on Precint 13.  The movie was intense and very enjoyable throughout.  What I drove me nuts was the non dramatic ending.  You sit and wait througout the whole movie enjoying the action and what have you.  then you get this ending that leaves you thinking.."What the fu$$$, that was it"  I find alot of movies are doing this lately.  They are selling you with previews.  then when you watch the movie any of the good parts you have already seen through the previews.  Very Dissapointing.

I LOVED Cable Guy.  As well as a little movie called Election.  Both have Matthew Broderick in them and he's brilliant.  If you watch Cable Guy expecting Pet Detective or Mask, I can see how you'd be disappointed.  Evne though I thought those Pet Detective movies were just bad.
