I thought the amount was $486.00 but even at $250.00, if that person only works 1 hour a month he makes $250.00/hour. If he works only 1 minute a month he makes $15,000.00/hour. Hmmmm....Not bad (Trying to get Notme fired up again).

 486 is for people that cannot work and  250 are for people that are classified as workable    either way  how can a person live     by miracles    but if you are a woman you cn get more by having a kid   ,then she still can party hardy

even worse a married couple don't get much more than 486 i know people whose rent alone is 75% of their income or even higher

that is the same for working people the rent is always higher ...but th welfare with kids also gets 2 more check from the government      i know someone with 2 kids that makes about 1600 a month

welfare with 2 kids 1600 a month.

this is not welfare alone it must be welfare plus family allowance if so well almost everyone working or not that has kids gets the family allowance if this is right then the amount of 1600 a month is not just a welfare cheque(notme will get going on this i'm thimking)

true but  working people have to declare family allowance  and some working people do not even get it ....

so it free money for the welfare people

well are you talking about new brunswick system because i know a married woman,5 kids that both cheques combined do not total 1600 dollars and another single mother 1 child that gets more than 1600 a month so looks like the system  is flawed and not fair

that is so true  i just learned that once the kids are over 6 the cheque cuts down
