    Re: Wisdom teeth hell!

I had the 2 bottom wisdom teeth pulled. Came home, was feeling great, and ate potato salad. Big mistake. Wound up with dry socket - and even the best of painkillers won't help that. Dry cloves in the "hole" help until you get back to the dentist for the patch he puts in.

For the record, if you don't eat or smoke after you have them out, you should be OK ... and dry socket happens mostly when the bottom teeth are pulled. So it may depend on which teeth you're having pulled and how closely you follow instructions. No matter what happens ... it IS worth it in the end!!

    Good luck!

My apologies to anyone I've offended. And with that, I'm disappearing. Enjoy the forum. Smile [:)]

I never follow instructions or read road maps. As a member of the male species I already know it all. I still have all my wisdom teeth thinking for me as a backup.
Remember yesterday, respect tomorrow, live for today.

The problem with North America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
