    as i see it they have people with basically the same problems going to another provider so they keep changing the promotion to et the people back

    i understand that every company has to have promotions. and that might be some of the reasons people are complaining about their bills  one person talks to another and another and so on and everyone might have a different bill for the sam product  just keep it the same for all that might elimenate some of the head aches

    Any way thats enough of the debate for me for awhile  gotta get some things done

    all i can say about joining rogers is SHOP around you might be surprised

    of course that is my oppinion

    A few months ago my ex wife called and said she couldn't get on the internet. There were two computers networked together and neither one would connect to the internet. I went over and checked it out. After finding nothing wrong on the computers end I called rogers. After a one hour wait I finally got to talk to someone. They checked out the account and said it was shut down due to a virus on her end. So I said it was nice of them to let her know that they were disconnecting her internet. He said they emailed her primary acount. Like she could get her email with it cut off. He then said he could not reconnect her service until I talked to security, so he transfered me over to them. 45 minutes of waiting I got to talk to someone else.I ended up having to reformat the computer before she got reconnected.
    My beef with this is them disconnecting without letting her know there was a problem and the long wait for customer service. Also the security guys talk down to you like it is your falt that the virus is there.

    Worsers. Security must be located in a different building far far away from a Tim Horton's. The regular help crew is usually very fast. If ever somebody cuts off your internet they should call you or at least leave a voicemail.

    Alliant should also do this for their customers when the internet is down so we will know what is going on before we start tearing apart our hookups, etc, etc.

    I will never, EVER do business with Rogers anything again.

    The service is absolutely abhorrent.  And if you're a subscriber and you try to leave, they will pull every trick in the book to get money out of you.  Keep an eye on them.  They're out to rip anyone off that they can sneak it past.  I'm completely, totally convinced of this.

    They tried to trick my daughter when she signed up for her rogers cell phone. The salesman said she had 5 meg free web surfing with the cell phone. She asked how much surfing she could do with that. The salesman said it would be hard to go over with average useage. She aked if they would let her know if she was close to the limit. He said they would. She was talking about the 5 meg limit on her internet. He was talking about the $600 limit on her account. Her first bill was over $400. She went back and talked to the manager and he did take the charge off, but the salesman shoud have made it clear that 5 megs is not very much and it is very easy to go over.

    I have heard of a few questionable incidences. Usually if a person confronts them they have a fair chance of an adjustment but this is a world of pay and go. Most people are so much in a hurry to go that they pay without stopping to look at the charges. They just pay and move on.

    Did they mean 5 megs of website space?.......Or some kind of E-mail account?

    Still, even those are both small.

    5 megs of surfing would last me a minute I thing but I might be wrong. It might be 55 or 65 seconds.

    the real phoney thing there is how do they know the virus came from her ??? are they monitering her account  for some reason

    It was messing up their network somehow.
