oh, and my 2 cents with it..Lisa added colour to c103...just like ernie. the 2 of them together were great..now I see no sense or need to listen to it anymore..time to go country I guess.

yeah, why not, if it reaches her. I dont know how fresh the information on that website it. Her current location says Toronto....(maybe she just moved?)

yes,unfortunately lisa has already moved to toronto.read her email in a previous post.she really felt bad about c103 not allowing her to say goodbye to her listeners.

I'm sorry to say, but you are wrong. Newcap owns C103, Irving owns the Times and Transcript. They do still own stations in Saint John and Bridgewater however, but not C103....

 Nice to see lisa had a following. I was never a big fan, but I have to respect anyone who has a loyal following, more so in the radio industry of voicetracking and multitasking.

C103 had a "housecleaning" a couple years ago with PM drive talent and creative depts and other behind the scenes people. God knows why, but that can be the nature of the business.

 

 

 

Reading between the lines on her message that was posted here, here's my take....

-despite everything being happy on air, Lisa locked horms with management on more then one occasion for the last few years. God knows it's happens enough. What is on the air, and what is reality can be two different things. I don't doubt lisa's sincerity to the listeners, it's that she didn't exactly make a great impression with management (to put it politely!) be it management were control freaks, didn't like her sexuality (it happens) or some other ridiculous thing (this is the industry of egos, amd moncton has had it's share of egos on the air) obviously they decided to pull the petty and childish thing of not letting her do a goodbye show. Be it, maybe they didn't want to risk her dissing the station  on air (management can be paranoid sometimes) or something else. who knows.

Irving does own the paper but C103 and XL96 are owned by NewCap out of Newfoundland while K94.5 and Magic are owned by MBS out of Halifax. No Irving money in either operation.

i bet C103 is reading this and regretting they did what they did. They probably thought removing the person removes the problem. Often times it works on the opposite.

If they were smart they are regretting it...but their egos are too big! I bet they walk around saying "no one will notice...in a few weeks they'll all have forgotten Lisa and we can move on."

Well I for one am moving on...there are plenty of radio stations on the internet that play waaaay better music...

Lisa was my reason for listening, her and Ernie had great chemistry together... and she cared about our community. They cracked me up...especially when I listened and would think "oh Lisa you are going to get in trouble for THAT one!...and man I Love ya for it." lol

her irreverance will definately never be replaced.

Thanks to the brave few who walked away from the "other sites" that censored...and thanks for creating these. You will never know what you did for my heart, and how you helped me accept what could be the end of a career in radio...with a smile. from my heart...as always...Lisa
