Well!!!  Here is my two cents worth on this subject. I have been called lots of things and yes, I have been called a moron, But you know what, I don't really care what people call me or think of me. Sticks and stones. As for a staples employee, Yes I am, But I have NO dealings with the public. I only work in the warehouse where i ship your products. As for the people that work in different stores in the computer departments, Some of them do not know much about computers. And yes willie they should have checked the computer to see if it did or did not contain a modem. Any computer problems I have  I do my own work, So if i get pi$$ed at some one it will be only myself LOL. And willie I am sorry I missed you tonight, I totaly forgot you might come over or did you tell me, Must be old age here cant remember. Any way  I would like to think since I have joined this forum  that I have made some good friends and Yes probably some enimies lol. But I can say for sure I have at least two GOOD friends right oldman, willie Any way  hope EVERYONE has a happy new year and may it be safe for all of you  and may 2007 be prosperious.

Why would you resign yourself from a forum where you have friends because of one persons comments that were uncalled for....?????

To clarify what just happened in this thread

Original poster doesn't care for people being salespeople that don't know what they are doing at "X" store

A comment was then made that basically the morons work on the floor and NON moron people work in the warehouse when a member of this site works (in the warehouse)  ..so far at this point..no insults made to said member..

Then someone jumps the gun after improperly reading comment (it happens I have done it too) and thinks his member friend was just insulted...but hasn't been..

Regular happy member JOKES and says yes he is a moran.....then at end of the post states they were kidding..no harm done so far..

person calls people that call others morons...morons (protecting rep of his friend thinking he was insulted....but as of yet..wasn't

regular conversation then takes place joking with each other..

insert WWJD and comment to stir previous misunderstanding..

At this point certain members are offended and make comments...

Well I see it has come down to this. Sorry  your leaving don, But I know how you feel. Some people judge people from the forum instead of knowing them in person.And as i left before im leaving again Too many insults in here for me to stay. I see only a select few are ok in here but the others are ousted. I know this is free speach but Come on people  ENough is enough.So Until  further notice I will no longer use this forum.

My last comment on this thread can be directed to you as well then.....It is a forum..ppl say ***..not saying it is right but they do.....If a few comments from a couple people out weight the fun and friends you have enjoyed on this site...Well..then do what you must....

Hey fireman, please don't leave. My origional post was meant to get certain people on top of their games. You can't have people who don't know what they're selling to people who don't understand what they're buying. It's just poor business. My sister is very happy with the new puter so all is well.

What?, You can still buy electronics at Future Shop? Usually when people I know go there for something it is out of stock or sold out. I hope I didn't open up a new can of worms.

I bought some batteries, but they weren't included.

The reason they did that is because so many people were stealing copies - using the machines and then not going through the cash.  There is no extra cost, it just means that you can not use the machine until you pay.  If the machine malfunctions they will put the money back on your card.

 

I honestly never cared for Future Shop as well...For poor quality and what have you of products...But at Christmas I purchased a Digital Camera and Photo Printer from there...and absolutley love it!!!!  It works great and the price was good...on sale

The service I received was phenominal..I was blown away..Keep in mind this was the Saturday before Christmas...Store was wall to wall people...Sales associates running around frantically trying to keep up the customer demands and questions...The first gentleman we asked couldn't assist us But when I cornered the second one the service I received was above and beyond...Very very informative and I made him work....At one point the memory card we were looking for was not on the floor so he searched....and searched...He spoke to another associate and advised us that she would be now searching for it and completing our sale..Which she did and once again was very informative and took the time to explain exactly how the cam worked..every detail..Come to find out at the end of the sale we find out the initial gentleman that served us was a manager...I was definitly impressed by the time he took to assist us..I am sure he had alot on his plate that day but had helped us and didn't pass us off right away to someone else

My opinion has definitly changed about the store.....Customer service to me makes or breaks wether I purchase an item at a store and wether or not I will ever return......

Kudos to Future Shop! (never thought I would be saying that  lol )

any stores  has bad clerk or customers service   it all depends who works at the time    some people  work because they have too most of these people hate their jobs so they give poor services   but when you get one that is interested in their jobs  well now that is a different story

I agree with that completely.....I won't repeat that alot..

One thing to keep in mind during the Holiday Season is that stores hire seasonal staff just for the holidays..majority of these people are let go come January when things calm down...One of the things that make a sales associate a good one is experience and product knowledge....The seasonal employees do not have time to acquire this...They are hired just prior to the Holidays...Most stores only alot so many hours for the Seasonal Staff so experience and training is a very bare minimum..This doesn't bother me if the employee assisting me atleast has the common decency to ask another employee if they are not aware of product..It is when they just say what you want to hear to make the sale  that turns me off....Stores will be aware of this type of seller by their sale / return ratio..

Are you crazy? I replied tongue-in-cheeck to your post, oldman; mine was a "smile! gotcha! haha it's a joke!" post. I even posted a tongue-in-cheeck icon to make SURE you'd read it correctly.

The Future Shop sucks for PC's as does Staples.Try PC Medic; they have REAL techs :)
