Lisa was my reason for listening, her and Ernie had great chemistry together... and she cared about our community. They cracked me up...especially when I listened and would think "oh Lisa you are going to get in trouble for THAT one!...and man I Love ya for it." lol

can you please give some examples of things you think got her in trouble? i mean the words she said...

    thanks!

she did a lot of sexual innuendo...over the heads of kids...but we all knew what she meant. Colin tries to do this too, but not as well. She also said what was on her mind, a lot of editorial type stuff...sometimes I'd agree ...sometimes I wouldn't...be I thought it brave to put it out there. She also gave the gay community there first voice. I'll never forget the day she screwed up and then laughed her ass off at her own mistake...or was it a mistake?...when she was asked what her favourite chocolate bar was she said "oh easy...hands down...reese's penis butter cups!...i mean...peanut butter cups." and then that great laugh started...and Ernie sounded like a caged animal not knowing what to do next...it was funny. Whether that stuff was planned or not...it always sounded great.

See, I have never tuned to "that radio station" (don't wan tto give them free publicity!), so I never had a chance to listen to Lisa. I read forums, including this one. So i have a basic idea of whats going on around me. Lisa sounds like a great person! While I diagree with the gay cause [i just dont belive in homosexuality], I think gays need to be heard. And if radio station wants to ignore that issue, they should be really ashamed of themselves.

Lisa should call Howard Stern up!

did they honestly think that they could just strip lisa from their sites and we would never question their antics?

They must be in cahoots then...Irving and Newcap? I wrote a letter to the editor on this subject and they never printed it. Several of my friends did the same, and for days we would look to the forum section to see if any of our letters seeking answers about lisa's departure, would be answered...but alas...how could they be...when even the mighty Irving operation refused to print the questions we asked.

So while they may not own the radio stations in question...they certainly support the corporate wheel.

guess who owns both the radio station and the times and transcript?

let me be a smartass and guess:

    Irving?

WRONG!  Nice try at a conspiracy theory though.

Irving does own the paper but C103 and XL96 are owned by NewCap out of Newfoundland while K94.5 and Magic are owned by MBS out of Halifax. No Irving money in either operation.

You really are a conspiracy theorist, aren't you? Did you ever stop to think that they didn't print any of the letters because they are concerned about slander or that maybe if your letters were as ridiculous as your posts, they weren't fit for print?  ;-)

You're beating a dead horse. She's gone, it was handled poorly, life goes on.

Listen to or boycott whatever station you like but just suck it up, Princess.

Hilary Montbourquette and his goon squad should be totally ashamed of their actions . they have totally ruined a perfectly good radio station with their b.s. policies.why does c103 management fear strong women or is it just women in general?

I really have no beefs with C-103, and still think it is a good station,  but I couldn't resist posting this:

I think it's just strong  women in general. And they have loyal fools who follow them around like small yappy

...well they say "a picture is worth a thousand words.

You know what my motto is: if you can't the heat get out of my kitchen. If you can't take the heat here in Topix, go back to c103.

C103 wants this to die and go away, and what I am seeing is the fools from there are coming here to put their two cents in. And that's kool but if you dish it, you better be able to take it.

One of the simplest yet most effective ways to make a point is to stop patronizing the businesses that advertise on c103. And tell those businesses why.tongue2 [tongue2]

they are the ones that will make the difference, and by us also doing it, it will make a point.

and according to Lisa, yes she gave her notice, but wouldn't you if you had a jerk riding you every single day??? I certainly would have.

Also, they cut her 2 weeks notice short, she did not.

just thought I would point those things out.Welcome [welcome]
