Also beware of Snookums Pets in PEI (or snookums.com).  We got a dog from there once, unaware of their operations, and later found out that puppy mills are their sources for animals.  The dog we wound up with had been abused and neglected during her short life, and we wound up having to give her up after two years of trying to accomodate for her.  It broke our hearts, especially our little daughter's.

I've heard of at least one other instance where someone was in a similar situation.  Let the buyer beware.

Point of note about P.U. They are owned by by a company which is owned by Hagen. Which is a HUGE company for small pet supplies.

I am sure when you think about it, you will remember their name.

 

Also when they dont sell that cute lil dog etc, they ship it around to another store..etc etc.this can indeed mean social issues.

Someone here has one now, 4 months old because she felt bad for it, to a very expensive tune I might add, and now they are having potty training issues..

they sell a dhs for almost 200..with their 1st needles. go to the shelter, save a cat for 140 and it includes a vet trip and altering!

 

& about the purebred thing..you are right, they dont have papers etc...and they are pure exmaples of a purebred. They come form puppymills. and they cant say purebred here..they have to say pureblood..to get around the AKC rules.

 

PU deserves nothing but to be shut down. Thier place here ALWAYS smells of urine, the pets are in filthy area's..and the spca does nothing.

It was 2 years because our daughter absolutely loved the dog.  We thought she would grow out of her problems.  She didn't, and it was heartbreaking to let her go.

But it was even more punishing seeing how heartbroken my little girl was.

I went in to the Dieppe Location about two days ago, the dogs kennels were ROTTEN! there was feces spread all over the walls. I pointed out to an employee who appeared to be the ONLY one working in the damn store that day, and they shrugged their shoulders and said "ill get to it". I came back later that night, about four hours later, to my surprise, the kennel was in the EXACT same condition, except worse with more feces everywheres.  Ill have you know, I called the Moncton Kennel Club and they advised that I should call the SPCA. I am now doing this.  I hope others will follow! If they truly CARE about this cause we are all supporting. I also asked what the manager's name was at the Dieppe Store i was told his name was Josh.

petsunlimited@pets-unltd.com - That is taken as well as the other two from their websites. I have Emailed them at the head office to let them know of how cruel they are with the dogs and what not. I heard from the Kennel Club of Moncton that they know the Dogs are in fact from Puppy Mills at a place  called Wilson's Farms somewheres in Fredericton.

Well excuse us, that is not the case, never has been, and nothing you say can change the fact that we have loooked int here, and have seen the poor living condition. i plan to shut that place down!
