So is in the heterosexual community......nothing to debate

Tell me this though...How do you explain the high population of people of the church..people of God..being pedophilers....Would this not be a dangerous situation for a child as well???  I am obviously not referring to your church...just church in general over the years

An essay on adult sex offenders in the book Sexual Offending Against Children reported: "It is widely believed that the vast majority of sexual abuse is perpetrated by males. Indeed, with 3,000 adult male sex offenders in prison in England and Wales at any one time, the corresponding figure for female sex offenders is 12!" This finding was echoed in a report by the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, which stated: "In both clinical and non-clinical samples, the vast majority of offenders are male."

Yes the vast majority is men...no dispute, but not all victims are male...

That's why our church has trained staff and police officers IN our church and on our board and all people working with children have to give police record checks and no one can ever be alone with children.

However, can you show your stats on the "high" number of church people who are pedophiles?

If you're referring to Roman Catholicism, you can be assured we Evangelicals do not endorse the RC system.

If you have Evangelical stats, show them.

If you're referring to RC's, it makes no difference; they are a whole organization by themselves and that's why we're called "protestants".

    Wrong.MOST are.

According to the Journal of Child Psychiatry, "contemporary studies now indicate that the ratio of girls to boys abused has narrowed remarkably. . . . The majority of community studies suggest a . . . ratio . . . in the order of 2 to 4 girls to 1 boy."[5] Indeed, the same study reports that there is likely "under-reporting of the incidence and prevalence of sexual abuse in boys.

No I meant Evangelicals; there are millions of us.

and you're right; just 1 person is far too many.

    On this we agree.

And I also don't deny heterosexual pedophelia.

It's all perverted sickening behaviour that cannot be rehabiliated by any secular means.

Response: I KNEW you'd say that! I knew I should not have formed my statement that way.
