The problem with North America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

Last Wednesday night I noticed Roger's has recently removed the fence between their call center and the Moncton Market. What gives here? I used to walk down to Roger's parking lot to unoficially sip on a brew when attending Moncton Market events. Wednesday night I looked over and saw some nice picnic tables and no fence in the way. Is this some long term commitment deal? Is there some fine print I should read here? Will I be locked into a "Sip Per Visit" contract? The fenceless tables looked good but I'm not nibbling til I find out the real story.

Up until recently all that was going on between me and Rogers was cable TV. I had enquired about Internet, when I was having a "thing" with Aliant, but they were not interested in coming to the "party" (I own my own cable modem and I was refused service without their rental), so I am still with Aliant for Internet.
I have not enquired about home phone because Rogers are dicks (past cel phone "fun").
I recently (4 months ago) decided all I wanted from Rogers was "basic cable", and they really had a hard time understanding that. After talking to about 4 people on the phone they finally got the idea, and just today turned off my extra channels, that is, after the guy turning off these extra channels gave me another unwanted sales pitch at my door.
Even the remaining channels are of poor quality, of content, and visually, though I guess I wish to maintain some kind of TV link with the outside world.
Any shows I want to watch I simply download them.

This is not to say Aliant is "perfect", but they appear to be the lessor of the two evils.

You only live life once.

Twice was enough for me. I finally beat the system for watching free tv. I can grab a lawn chair, beer, popcorn, and insect repellent and set up on somebody who owns a big screen tv's front lawn. With the new surround systems I can hear the shows really good. If they call the cops I can move to the lawn across the street. This idea only works if the system belongs to a person on the first floor.

rogers disconnected my cell 4 times in a month  justbecause rogers decided after 1 year to put a 50$ credit limits   on it  ,,,, it just a way to charge an extra 25 for reconnection     the bad part i am stuck for 2 more years      ...........(   i think  i will break this contract irregardless )

I'd tell them to shove the rest of their two years and write them a check for the remainder of what they say you owe them. Have it written out to two names. One name can be Rogers and the other can be the name of some person who is a tv reporer or something. On the back of the cheque specify that your story has to be told on the news before the cheque is cashable. That way you will have paid them but they can't get their money without having a taste of their own contract medicine. I think Yvonne Colbert still works for ATV. She has helped many people who got the sh*t end on the stick.

Moncton Netters Beware:

Nice weather is here and Rogers with be fealing theatened by all the people going outside. Prepare for them stuffing your mailboxes with lots and lots of junk mail for tv, internet, and cell phone packages designed to lure you back inside or to offer you the freedom of mobility. Keep your guard up after reading the first one and keep in mind there are probably 4 or 5 more different Rogers offers still in your mailbox. You just have to dig a bit deeper.

Cause of rogers I can't get a load (they f*cked me when I stopped working for them, decided to put me on a contract plan, which I didn't sign for nor used teh service and sent me a 500$ bill 2 years later)

well i got cell phone from rogers , well 3 and they told me if i put them together on 1 plan , i will get 15% discount , and i accept it , i went to the rogers outlet at champlain mall in dieppe , i picked up the phones , and i ask him about 15% discount he said i get it , i ask for it in writing , got it , and when i got my bill , it was over $600 and i check the bills there was NO long distance , but i found out , people from USA called where i did not answer , and i got charges for it , and when i went and pay for the bill , i show the note(letter) i am to get my discount , and the girl behind the desk told me i cant have it ... i ask why , and she told me cause of the bill is to high if i was lower it will be accepeted but also i show her , about the long distances called , and she checked it , none on the phone answers it but it was charges to the account , they wont fixed it , so i throw the phone the counter and walk out ...

now i am gettin rogers callin me every day , 4 times a day askin me why i did that and about the bill and i told them my lawyer will be in contact with them next week
