First off..Everyone thinking of boycotting the store have you thought about what is going to happen to the animals affected and what would happen to them if stores this large close. What do you think they would do with hundreds of animals, reptiles and fish and so forth. I am not saying that what they are doing is right, but what would happen to these animals if the stores closed. Unfortunately there is a huge animal population in Moncton and alot of people are not responsible enough to have their pets spade or neutered. Just look at the SPCA. I would hate for these animals to be destroyed .
Another route you may consider to protect the animals because that is the ultimate goal here is to contact the SPCA @ 857-8698 to ask them to investigate. They are the Society for Preventing Cruelty to Animals. That is what you are trying to do here. As well you might want to actually contact the Head Office of Pets Unlimited to advice them of what is happening in Moncton. They may not be aware of the conditions that have been stated. I have worked for various stores and when we knew the Head Office was coming everyone was on their best behavior and the store was pristine making it appear that everything was in tip top shape. Now as for the employee on here that has been with the company for eight years..You should be reported as well to the Head Office. If I ever had an employee speak in the way you have..I would fire you. You are a reflection of a company and what the company stands for (regardless if the store is liked). The moto on the website is ”because the love of your pet is unlimited” not we are here to make a buck wether you buy from us or not. You should be defending the store that has empoyed you if anything...You do not deserve the position you have been given (this is regardless if we agree with the store or not) It is not permitted in any store to speak the way you have with such coldness and not even to be appearing to care about the animals..Just the Buck! I think it would be interesting to pass your comments on so that they can discover who you are. you have admitted already to being employed at the store for eight years and are in the dieppe store..Shouldn't be hard to figure out.
My final thought is to contact the SPCA..This is what they do, investigate inhuman conditions to animals. As well please donate to the SPCA, alot of what they do is private donation. They take cash as well I believe they take donations of food and other items to care for and love the animals. There is lots you can do you just have to start in the right direction. If all else fails do up a petition and send it to the press, local govermen and the SPCA.
