the worst thing you can do is move out by doing that you may be giving him what he wants.try and hang in there

He's not trying to split us up. He loves me and my son (he even told my son the other day that he was his brother by another mother) he really does and we can all tell he thinks of us as family.  Each night before bed, everyone goes to my son's room to say goodnight and that we all love eachother(it's a ritual that we have ever since me and his dad got involved). It's not a matter of that at all, it's he's 16 adn does what he wants when he wants to without thinking about anyone else but himself, until he gets caught. Anyways I don't know all I know is my mind has goon to mush and feel like banging my head (yes just like the song, and it even seem to haev the right beat to it to just really bash)

I thank you all for the kind words. I am not as sorry for me as I am for him and his parents. I really truly wish and hope and pray that his way of thinking will change for the best. But you guys all rock. Angel [A]

Well here's a update as he went to court adn got nothing more than 6 months probation (for stealing a damn car, a slap on the wrist and a slap in our face) Well I have resolved our issue with the little bas*ard devil child (he has kept stealing from us even after we put a outside door handle that locks with a key plus a pad lock on our bedroom door and broke them both not 12 hours after we installed the pad lock) He is getting send back to his mom's in less than a week and will never return and she can deal with his problem. I didn't used to look at it that way (as i wanted him to get help not be sent off and run away from his problems) but now it's just too bad I took too much from him and have no pity on the kid any longer. I know it sounds cruel but oh well it's either that or go crazy and leave. So this was just a Update for all that gave me advise on this thread. Thanks you all. Have a great day

Just another update. He has left on the plane this morning at 6:30 am. He didn't leave without making us aware why he was leaving in the first place. I took some money out of my account last night to make sure we could pay for the airport fees and give him money for food but when I went to bed I discovered that he stole that money too. Nice way of saying good bye huh.

Sounds a bit like one of my nephews. If he is my nephew please don't send him back to his mother.

I take pity for the parents of your nephew then. Today was teh first day in many months that I felt comfy to leave teh house, lock the doors and not have to worry all day if my TV, my son's X box, his portable DVD player, our music equipment (well worth over 5000$) is still home. Might even get rid of this month long headache and backache once and for all.

Should've stuck it in your bra ... assuming you wear one. Stick out tongue [:P]

Please don't be offended; I'm in a pretty rotten situation myself, and I've found that if you don't add humor where you can it's just going to suck that much worse.

I truly hope that this kid can learn from what he's lost that life will be rough if he doesn't change! And don't guilt yourself when your best doesn't seem to be good enough; I've been trying to learn that one myself. Sometimes that's just the way life is.

Now that you can leave the house and relax, you should splurge today on dinner out and maybe a coffee date with a friend. Take care!

I can say one good thing for my nephew. He has potential to succeed in life, and if ever he wants to get his crap together he's more than welcome, but til then he can piss up a gum tree. I've seen the heartache he caused his mother.
