Re: Update : Elmwood Drive Armed Robbery, Moncton,
You know, if I were her, I'd be a little ticked. They issue a notice placing her at approximately 40 and she's really just nicely 30? Maybe it's a woman thing, but I'd be royally ticked if someone over-estimated my age like that!

Codiac RCMP recover car and body
Codiac RCMP recover car and body believed linked to killing of N.B. professor
Kevin Bissett, THE CANADIAN PRESS

http://www.canadaeast.com/front/article/467613
2008 11 01
Body discovered in car may be connected to murder in Douglas, N.B., Fredericton, N.B.
Just before 11:30 a.m. on November 1, 2008, the RCMP received a call that the body of a man had been discovered in a car in a hotel parking lot in Moncton, N.B. The police have determined that the car was rented earlier in the week by 27-year old Nicholas Wade Baker. Just prior to the discovery of the body, a first degree murder charge was laid against Baker in the October 30, 2008 murder of 60-year old John McKendy of Douglas, N.B. A Canada wide arrest warrant for Baker had also been issued.

~~~~~
RCMP said they received a call just before 11:30 a.m. after the body of a man was discovered inside a car at a hotel parking lot in Moncton, N.B.
"Police have determined that the car was rented earlier in the week by 27-year old Nicholas Wade Baker."
They said it was found inside a silver coloured Chrysler with a Nova Scotia plate on it. It was a rental car from a company in Fredericton.
Although police hadn't offered comment on family ties the Globe and Mail reported Saturday that Baker was married to McKendy's daughter and that she was found injured in the home and taken to hospital for treatment.
McKendy, a Quaker, came to the Fredericton school in 1974 and his research focused on social inequality and the sociology of religion and work.
Codiac RCMP track escaped Sex Offender, Stephen Chester
2008 11 18
Convicted sex offender, robber still at large, escaped custody while working at Moncton Wesleyan Church
By Brent Mazerolle Times & Transcript Staff
A 44-year-old Westmorland Institution inmate with a long history of crimes, including sexual assault and assault with a weapon, escaped from a Moncton church last night, triggering a police search through much of the west end and downtown of Moncton.
Stephen Chester was sentenced to nine years in prison in 2004 for two robbery offences against Moncton store clerks in separate 2003 incidents, one of them while armed with a knife. In one case, a clerk was tied up and left in a bathroom. In the other case, a clerk was locked in a room.
Last night, Chester was part of a group of several inmates doing work at the Moncton Wesleyan Church at 945 St. George Boulevard when he slipped away shortly after 7 p.m.
He was last seen wearing dark blue track pants with lines on the sides and a dark blue jacket with red stripes on the sleeves. Underneath the track suit, he was wearing a bright yellow t-shirt. At the time of his disappearance he had scruffy facial hair.
Chester weighs about 190 pounds (86 kg) and is approximately 5'10" (180 cm) tall. He was still at large early this morning. The incidents for which he was currently serving time occurred Oct. 6, 2003 at Andrew's Cottage, a gift shop on St. George Boulevard, and Nov. 1, 2003 at VL Music on Main Street. In the first incident, Chester, pretending to be shopping for a Christmas gift for his mother, came up behind a female clerk, grabbed her by the waist and slid a knife to her throat and told her to continue to the back room where he asked for cash, credit cards and finally the money from the front cash register. He left after shutting the woman in the room.
RCMP Press Release
http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/nb/news/Dec1108_122558.html
Organized crime group dismantled in RCMP Operation JEKYLL, Middlesex, N.B.
Eight people appeared in Moncton Provincial Court facing numerous charges following an RCMP operation targeting an organized crime group operating around the Salisbury area. The investigation codenamed Operation JEKYLL has been underway since October 2007.
54-year old Roger Tingley, 54-year old Rodney Tingley, 32-year old Michael Tingley, 30-year old Kevin Tingley, 25-year old Chris Tingley, 49-year old Sharon Tingley, 54-year old Gail Tingley, and 32-year old Missy Tingley have been collectively charged with 57 offences. Among the charges are conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, OxyContin, marijuana, contraband tobacco, weapons and firearms, and being members of an organized crime group.
The case has proven to be a difficult one for police as witnesses have been leery about coming forward to provide evidence. As such, for the first time in New Brunswick, a 2002 amendment to a Section of the Criminal Code of Canada focusing on Organized Crime was utilized. If convicted, sentences will be served consecutively, meaning for each conviction the guilty party will have to serve each individual sentence. This can result in a very lengthy prison sentence depending on the number and scope of the charges. Any property owned that was used in committing the offences is now subject to seizure.
Rodney Tingley, Michael Tingley, Kevin Tingley and Chris Tingley have been remanded into custody until a bail hearing scheduled for December 17 and 18, 2008 in Moncton Provincial Court. Roger Tingley is currently in hospital and will appear in court at a later date but has been charged. Sharon Tingley, Gail Tingley and Missy Tingley have been released on strict conditions.
A number of arsons in the area were also part of the police investigation. Although no charges have yet been laid in those cases, further charges and arrests are pending. The RCMP are also asking anyone with any information to contact them or N.B. Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) as they continue to gather evidence on this organized crime ring.
Mini-home drug lab to be destroyed, Lakeville, N.B.
2008/12/16 RCMP Press Release http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/nb/news/Dec1608_135355.html
Mini-home drug lab to be destroyed, Lakeville, N.B.
The RCMP with the assistance of Seized Property Management Directorate ( SPMD), will be hauling away a mini-home which was used as a drug lab and having it destroyed on December 17, 2008.
In 2005, police seized a large amount of cash and various types of drug and drug paraphernalia. Stephane Borean was arrested. He was subsequently convicted and sentenced to prison. It was discovered during the investigation that Mr. Borean was using a mini-home in Lakeville, N.B. solely for the purpose of facilitating a commercial scale operation capable of transforming and distributing multi-kilos of cocaine and cannabis resin.
Earlier this year, the mini-home was ordered to be forfeited by the Court as proceeds of crime. The money seized, almost $259,000.00 Canadian and nearly $9500.00 American was also forfeited as proceeds of crime.
The mini-home could not be sold due to the condition it was in from being a drug lab so it is being destroyed.
RCMP seize counterfeit goods Moncton, N.B.
2008 12 22
RCMP Press Release
On December 18, 2008, the RCMP New Brunswick Federal Enforcement Section conducted a search at the Nationwide Golf Liquidator Ltd. in Moncton. Simultaneous searches were conducted by the Nova Scotia Federal Enforcement Section of the RCMP at two additional locations of the same business; one in Sydney, and the other in Dartmouth, N.S. On December 12, 2008, a search was also conducted of the Nationwide Golf Liquidator in Charlottetown, P.E.I.
In all four locations, numerous items of counterfeit clothing were seized, including NFL Reebok jerseys, Cleveland golf hats and visors, and shirts and sweaters in the brand names of Ashworth, Polo by Ralph Lauren, and Cutter & Buck.
The police are reminding people that counterfeit goods can often be very difficult to distinguish from the real thing. To assist people the RCMP offers these reminders. People should look to see if the price reasonably reflects the value, if the packaging is properly labeled, if they are familiar with the business selling the goods and if the product quality seems acceptable.
Anyone with any information regarding the sale of counterfeit goods should contact the "J" Division RCMP Federal Enforcement Section at (506)-851-6183, or N.B. Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
