    Help with coughing

Does anyone have any home remedies to stop or even ease a cough? I have been coughing since december and once again tossing and coughing all night long. I need some sleep, so any advice would be appreciated.

Is it a dry cough or a wet cough?.....

    Re: Help with coughing

Depends on day lol. This week it's a wet clammy cough. But last week it was dry. week before wet, before that dry lol. It's hard to tell as I think I'm getting better and a few days later I'm as sick as I started out to be.

Do you have any dampness in your house, or even the opposite..too dry...

One thing you can try is elevating your bed a lil at night..put pillows under the head of mattress..chances are you are coughing more at night then anything right?  but in all honestyl if you have had a persistant cough for that period of time you should be seeing a doctor

    Re: Help with coughing

Lol I have seen doctors many times, They give me crap after crap and nothign works. I'm not to sure they really know what coudl help. I usually end up sleeping sitting up because it does help, but it ends up being a restless sleep that way. It's not too dry or too damp (I can tell because if it's too dry my nose will be dry and if it's too damp it will be runny lol) Yes it happens way more at night, or if I am something that gets me really hot(ex. if I'm walking to work, I'll have a coughing fit). I have tried sleeping with the window open for cool fresh air and also tried with the window closed.

    Re: Help with coughing

I have, they checked for allergies also and nothing. I don't get out of breath, I'm not sensitive around smoke or dust ect... just since I got my cold in December, the coughing never went away.

A tablespoon of sugar sprinkled with pepper is good for tempory relief. It's probably a good idea to see a doctor for any prolonged coffing or shortage of breath. Best to go get x-rays.
Remember yesterday, respect tomorrow, live for today.

I bought some batteries, but they weren't included.
