Britney Spears has apparently revealed to doctors that she has been battling bulimia since the age of 16. The 25 year old pop star has reportedly told doctors at Promises Treatment Center that she has suffered from a psychological condition since her teens.
Britney has been making huge progress throughout her last two weeks of rehab. She has been opening up to the doctors and working with them to make the recovery easier for both parties. Apparently Britney decided to make the doctors aware of her eating disorder when it started affecting the success of the treatment.
According to All Headline News "She was throwing the whole lot up, so, naturally, her medications weren't working. Her first week in detox was real hell. She was in a total mess but slowly she's pulling though".
Hopefully opening up about her problems will help Britney receive the treatment she needs to get better.
There have been no formal statements from the pop star or her publicist that support Britney's battle with bulimia. If it is true, hopefully she is on the road to recovery.
