Cuz he's done it for me.I used to hate Christian and anything to do with the bible. If i'd see the jesus fish or a christian sticker on your car you bet i'd tell you off.One of my all time favorite bands was SLAYER.Now this was only really in the last 4years.A couple years before this i started reading the bible.I was searching for something more in life,I was a musician in a rock n roll band<Love to party hardcore. But nothing was satisfing me.And my wife wanted me to start thinking about our futur. So i did.Eventually anyways.Got to work, started aquire things.Bought a house new truck,Going to Concerts, travelling, running my own business,Two beautiful kids, all kinds of riches when i think about it now.But i still wasn't really that happy. Then we hired a christian,to work for us.At this time i didn't hate christians yet.Worked with this Christian for a couple years and we didn't get along so good he didn't really make me want to be christian at all.he actually made me hate christianity.or what i though christianity was all aboutI even thanked him one time for helping me never to want be a christian. Then we let him go cuz we could just not get along. More to the story but i'll leave it at that.Anyways ,started messing up again Drugs, lying to my wife etc etc...Then one day i come home and my wife decided she had enough. She's gone ,kids too.Ans this time she was serious. It was really over this time. And i knew this time i could'nt say i'll never do it again, cuz she caught me doing stuff over and over.I was out of luck.I love my wife and kids more than anything and did not want to lose them. But what could i do this time?I decided i was gonna leave town,So i left, and for some reason i brought my bible with me.While i was driving, and balling my head off, thinking what the heck i was thinking cuz at this point i didn't know, cuz i just lost evrything,I decided to stop. And have a smoke.Look at my bible that was there and taugh GOD if your real or not i'm gonna give you a try.I Ask jesus to come into my life.Finished my smoke.Sat there for a second ,Lit another smoke up,then all of a sudden i felt peace,It was weird, nothing miraclous, just calmness. At that second i knew I could go back to my wife.Got back to my wife told she didn't have to forgive me right now but things were gonna be ok I just knew i had God this time. She said ok.Then after a couple weeks, which nobody in mine and her family believed what had happened to me cuz i was so on fire for god those couple of weeks. That it was unbelievable. My wife started not liking the new me.cuz i was being to good. She wanted to leave me again. Then after 4 months of persistent prayer. She gave her life to christ. Now there's some proof if you knew my wife. The more you trust God the more he reveals himself to you.God has already proven himself to the world.God his waiting for you .That's part of my story anyways.
First that ain't proof to me. Can be to you but not to me.
Second, I'm not into drugs, I don't screw up too much (screw up like any reg human does from time to time, like spend to much on clothes, drank abit bit to much the night before etc...)
I am more of a fact over fiction type of person. I do not belive in teh same God as most. I belive in a creator but that's it. Our creator could be some kid (talking about a far more advance living being) that their dad gave them a globe as a present (and they have many different kind of planets, living differently in each planet etc..) and forgot about us. That's why war came about and crap like that. Or we're just some test in a labratory.
Think about it. There will always be a creator from somewheres but ow the hell are we suppose to know. We don't have a clue what's going on universe. There could be many more things out there that we have not a clue. We feel like this world is big, but we could be ant size to the creator that has many other planets that are far more advanced than us.
I will not stop living my life full of fun and pleasure when life is too short and we have too many bad moments. i will enjoy each moment I can to the fullest. Sins or no sins.
Be careful what you write cause you can say boo and they will jump down your throat.

Re: Islam in Moncton, gets its First mosque
I believe in GOD, myself. As a member of the Heinz57 dedomination I have heard a few different versions of HIS word. Taking into consideration that man wrote the Bible and it has been translated many times I really don't take every word of every version as being GOD'S. HE must be misquoted somewhere or all the books would say the same thing, word for word. I do, however, try to hear the different versions of GOD'S word and try to understand what the heck is going on and what HE is trying to say. If I had a copy of the Coran I would read it. Whether I would agree with it or not would be a different story, but I would do my best to try to understand it.

The Taco Bell lions are actually pretty funny. I'd give them a taco. Not like I'd have a choice if I had one in my hand. I'd even offer sour cream.

Moncton mosque to hold open house

New Moncton mosque to hold open house June 16 & 17th Muslim Association hopes to teach community more about customs and religion
By Cole Hobson Times & Transcript Staff page A8
2007 06 15
The Moncton Muslim Association would like to extend an invitation to all members of the community, regardless of faith, to learn about their religion by visiting Moncton's first mosque.
The place of worship, located at 99 High St., was a labour of time, love and money -- over $400,000 was raised over the past six years in order to buy and renovate the building.
Riaz Akhtar, president of the Moncton Muslim Association, says all the hard work is worth it in the end.
"It feels very good," he says, of seeing the final result of the efforts of the association.
Souad H'Mida, a member of the association, says the mosque is a good way to bring the Muslim community together.
"That place is for us and it's something that makes us feel good. We are not over there all the time, but if you need to go and sit down and have some tranquility it's the place to do it," she says, noting that Muslims pray five times a day.
The mosque is always open to visitors of different faiths and cultures and H'Mida hopes the open house will help educate the public on the Muslim faith.
"We wanted to open the house and let the community see who we are, how we pray, and what we do in this facility," she says, adding that they will be there to answer any questions and discuss how the building was financed.
Prior to the construction of the mosque, Muslims in Moncton prayed at specified rooms on the Université de Moncton campus, or at their own homes.
The Moncton Muslim Association was formed in 2000 and is a not-for-profit organization with the goal of operating a mosque and catering to the religious needs of the approximately 100 Moncton adults who comprise the Muslim community.
Akhtar says it is a diverse group that includes professors, doctors, students and computer programmers, from various countries such as Algeria, Bangladesh, Senegal and Tunisia.
"Culturally we have very little in common at times, but we've got religion in common," Akhtar says.
He adds that the community is slowly growing, although some have left the city because there was no mosque.
"Our hope is that a few people will put their roots over here and will feel a little bit more comfortable in that there is a place of worship and it is active."
The open house will take place tomorrow June 16th from 9 a.m. to noon and Sunday June 17th, from 2 to 5 p.m.
Guests are requested to dress modestly and to remove their shoes when entering the mosque's prayer room.

Re: Moncton mosque to hold open house

Members of Moncton's multicultural community say the weekend opening of the city's first mosque will help promote ethnic understanding and acceptance among Muslims and non-Muslims.
More than $400,000 was raised to convert a former downtown Baptist church to a place of prayer for Moncton's growing Muslim community of 130 people.
Riaz Akhtar, president of the Greater Moncton Muslim Association, led both Muslims and non-Muslims on tours of the mosque Saturday, explaining the significance of what was inside and the customs associated with being in such a place.
Akhtar said the mosque serves as a focal point for Muslims now in the city, and as a selling point for those planning to move to Moncton.
"There are some professionals that have come to Moncton and they've moved on after a few years on the basis that there is no mosque over here," Akhtar. "My hope is that it will provide some incentive for people to stay."
Sarah Mahmud, who moved to Moncton from Toronto eight months ago, admitted she didn't know what to expect when she arrived in the New Brunswick city.
"When I came here, I was really surprised because [Moncton is] kind of small, but the fact that we have a mosque here is great because it shows that [Muslims] have like a standing as a community."
Alcide LeBlanc, a former director of race relations for a multicultural group in Moncton, said everyone benefits from the mosque and a Muslim community.
"It makes us better understand the world community because when we have different groups in Moncton, religious groups, linguistic groups, it creates a better understanding of the entire planet."
LeBlanc, a retired university professor, said he was impressed to see so many people from outside the Muslim community touring the building and learning about another religion and culture.
City has history of troubled race relations
LeBlanc said the mosque's opening also closes the door on a dark period in history.
In 1992, Moncton was the fourth most violent city in Canada, with regular confrontations between skinheads, and various other gangs and minority groups.
LeBlanc was invited by the city's multiculturalism association to help stop the violence, and became director of a race relations program in public schools.
LeBlanc said that when he met with groups and individually with gang members, the dialogue was amazing.
"Many of them quit the leadership of their groups and became speakers with me in the schools."
Moncton has also been plagued by language tensions among English and French communities. LeBlanc said now that the two cultures are flourishing side by side, it bodes well for multiculturalism.
"The attitude of the people of Moncton has improved, so that's a major step. Just that little element is hope for better understanding between the different groups. It's the open mind that we are creating in the Moncton area."
